Tony meets the Bat

Tony made it to the elevator looking as pale as a sheet. The elevator sent him down and he struggled as he made his way to his workshop/garage.

His feet gave out, causing him to have to crawl the rest of the journey. He arrived under the table which held his old arc reactor but he had no strength to reach it and laid resting against a desk.

Tony began to think that was it, and slowly accepted that this was where he was going to die, but then he saw something. He saw a hazy image of a giant bat looming over him, "hallucinations, that's... unexpected" Tony thought chucking the image to his imagination before the memories of the legendary Batman popped in his head and he realized, before him stood none other than the Batman.

Batman grabbed the case which held the old reactor and smashed it taking the reactor and plunging it into Tony's chest which caused him to take in a mouthful of air.

"Stark, are you okay", Batman asked but Tony remained silent still staring. "Stark are you okay?" Batman questioned once again, "shit, you're real" was Tony's clever response.

Batman seeing he was okay took a step back to give him room, when Tony's eyes widened in panic and he tried to get back to his feet. "Pepper... She's in danger!" Tony spat out as he finally made it to his feet.

"Tony!" Rhodey's shouting along with hurried footsteps were heard. Batman and Tony turned to the source only to see Rhodey with Agent Maria and a few SHIELD agents who didn't hesitate to fire as soon as they saw the Batman.

Jeff turned around raising his cape to protect Tony from any stray bullets. Batman fired a batarang which flew past the agents before giving of a purple glow and attracting the weapons out of the Agents hand, they all turned to see what happened but when they looked back Batman was gone leaving only Tony who was still squatting with both his arms above his head.

"Tony",Rhodey rushed to Tony's side calling out to him. "Rhodes", "yeah it's me".

"What with the suits?"

Rhodey proceeded to explain after hearing Tony's question. "Pepper along with some SHIELD agents went after finding out the truth about Obadiah so she called me and told me to come over."

"When I arrived so had these guys, apparantely Obadiah had taken out the SHIELD agents and kidnapped Pepper."

Tony eyes widened hearing this, "What how did he did power the suit he just got the arc reactor from me?"

"we are not clear about that?" Maria Hill cut in at this moment, her eyes drawn to the arc reactor in Tony's chest.

Tony realized this and spoke up, " okay you guys can go"

Maria Hill rose a brow at that, "what?"

"You heard me, Obadiah already got what he want and thinks I'm dead so highly doubt he going to come back. So shouldn't you guys be out there looking for him."

"He's not the only one we are after." Tony tilted his head as he heard her words showing his confusion.

"The Batman."

"What?, he just saved my life, from you guys who were shooting at me by the way." Tony defend the Batman.

"You might not know this but Obadiah is not working alone and those he is working with are in a war against the Batman. From what we've seen in the past when the Bat goes to war against someone, Innocents suffer so we're taking anyone of them in... dead or alive"

Tony had a short stare down with Maria after hearing that before he spoke, "you can show yourselves out."

Maria nodded to her men before they left.

Batman who was hiding above the building heard the entire conversation through a bug he left behind.

The conversation had answered some questions that popped up in his head. Batman was confused as to why Warmonger suit was in operation before Tony's arc reactor was stolen but now he could guess somethings.

The court became a huge variable which led to events to playing differently.

Looking up the Batwing was here enabling Batman to jump in flying into the city search for Obadiah.

Gwen who had now dubbed herself Ghost Bat was atop a roof with Sebastian and the mysterious Eve that no one was willing to talk to her about.

*Boom* A loud explosion, the signal they had all been waiting for, went off causing them all to turn to that direction.
