"Honorable Miss, I'm so sorry, so sorry... I stained your dress. Please, I beg you, don't tell the landlady or I'll surely be thrown out."
In the corner between the second and third floors of the inn, a young boy dressed in a servant's uniform kneeled before the girl, pleading earnestly for forgiveness.
The floor was in a mess, with food scattered all around, and the girl's clean dress was stained with oil.
Sally furrowed her brow as she looked at the boy kneeling before her.
"Do you think the landlady won't find out if I don't tell her? How are you going to explain this mess?"
"I'm on good terms with the kitchen staff, as long as they make another portion quickly, it'll be fine. As long as elder sister doesn't tell the landlady, she won't know. So please forgive me." The boy bowed his head to the ground two more times.
"Get up, I won't tell the landlady," Sally said with a smile.
