After Kevia left, Lin Ge looked at Karina, who was beaming with pride.
"Didn't I already say? Treat me to a drink, then invite me to your place tonight, and I'll tell you," Karina said, smiling as she locked eyes with him.
"Alright, but don't lie to me."
"Eh?" Karina was somewhat surprised; she hadn't expected Lin Ge to agree so readily. She had mentally prepared to tell him if he only agreed to the first half, that is, treating her to a drink—after all, Kevia had pretty much revealed her identity—thinking it wouldn't matter much to speak openly. But he had just accepted outright.
"What, don't want to go now?"
"No, of course I'll go."
The third glass of red "Thorns" was set down in front of Karina.
"This one's on you."
As Karina lifted the glass, the bright red liquid mirrored the color of her hair—a drink very well suited to her.
