Vajra looked at Ardala, her color was coming back, in fact she looked rather flush. “Are you ok?”

“I feel very strange,” Ardala shuddered again. “It is though my skin is alive and begging to be touched.” A small breathy moan escaped her. “Please, I need-“

He looked frantically over at Lady Dorwenna who’s head had come up but strangely, the older woman didn’t look worried in the least. “Be calm, my Princess. The tonic takes some people this way.” She turned her eyes to Vajra. “She will be well, for some people the tonic acts as an aphrodisiac.”

“Vajra, what is happening to me?” Ardala’s breathing was coming faster now, and she was starting to tremble. “Will you- I need-“

His brain caught up with itself and what was happening to her suddenly made sense. “Ardala, it’s alright.” He swept her off her shaking unsteady legs to the bench in the corner of the garden. “Just breathe for me and I’ll help you if you want.”
