“Go back to sleep, Ardala.” He told her softly, knowing from the lack of awareness in her eyes that she wasn’t properly awake. “I’m ok, I just had a dream.”
“Will you tell me what you dreamed?” Her voice was hazy and dreamy, and her hand was soft as she stroked his cheek.
“When you come back, I’ll tell you.” He watched as her eyes drifted back shut and she went limp by his side. It took him a while to nod back off with as excited as he was, but eventually he managed to calm down enough to get back to sleep.
