Chapter Two

Waking up two minutes before his alarm would ring was probably not the best choice for Jake, even an additional minute in bed would work wonders for his sleep derived brain. Speeding through brushing his teeth, taking his bath and some 3 minutes exercise even made it worse.

Multitasking eating food and checking sales was unfulfilling and as he expected, there were no sales. Shrugging, he just locked his door and left for college, that would solve itself, other thing needed his attention and thankfully, today was Thursday which meant earlier dismissal time.

There were no gates in front of Owen College. Its prestige alone was enough to tell those lower than the middle class to keep off; they didnt even have the courage to look at it. The only way to get into it was through serious genius, seriously ultra stinking rich parents and relations, or relationship to the government. Though it was one of the lower members of Dignified Alumni, the respect allocated one was still great.

Striding into the college was uncomfortable, those who saw him on the streets and thought him on the same level as them, one they saw him crossing the imaginary boundary to the school, elevated his level to that of an important person. Once inside the school, social hierarchy changed and evolved from geniuses to rich and to government.

So, being the low of the low was pretty painful, and it came with the type of popularity that no one wanted. He had to be avoided, not talked to or risked their painfully built reputation being destroyed at that instant. So over time, he learnt that it was better to be on his own, after all, solo meant no additional burdens and awkward conversations with people called friends.

He quickly veered to the right before he pushed down a student, being muscular had its perks, but here, those became problems, it made him easier to spot and target, an example being now when a student threw a water ball at him, wetting his clothes and showing his chest and abs. Some girls quickly sneaked a glance at him, and if not for the glasses that he wore, they might actually have come to talk to him. Muscular plus glasses just didn't work.

Class was pretty uneventful with him sitting at the front, students passing letters, and making snide comments about the teachers. Break period came and went, which made no difference to him, and after two more classes, college students were free to go home at 12.30pm, except if they wanted to stay for practical and optional classes. He headed for the Physics lab, and as he passed by a group of students and his books fell down right in front of them. They barely spared him glance before they went back to their discussion.

"Guys, I reached Level 12!" a dark skinned guy said, showing off his white teeth, so he named him teeth guy.

"Seriously! I am still in Level 9, *sigh*", a white guy said, face planting into his hands.

"Wait, which game are you guys talking about?" someone in the middle of the group asked

Jake, could feel everyone looking at the guy, it was either he lived under a rock which was not possible or that he was just plain stupid. So he named him Stupid. They did not even answer the question.

"I even sold my Level 3 sword for $30", teeth guy continued knowing he had the attention of the group of five. Series of Whoa's and OMG's resounded throughout the whole group. By now, Jake had already finished packing his books, but he wanted to hear more, so he slowly dropped more of his book on the floor and started to pack it all over again.

"I am serious. I even have my own guild." teeth guy continued knowing that they would suck it up.

"Next week, we would take over a major map." teeth guy spat out.

Jake was then immediately knew that this guy was the epitome of stupidity, he was not ignorant; he knew to get a plot of land in the game would be expensive and this guy was still in Level 12! And he thought the other guy was stupid.

Another chorus of ooh's and aah's, and Jake knew he couldn't take it anymore, so he packed up his books and left the group of idiots.

Leaving the Physics Lab at 5:00pm, he went home with his bag full of free materials was way more fulfilling than buying them. Chartering a taxi was a lot more painful after $5 was taken from him, but even those idiots knew that the streets were never save for people like him, especially past this hour.

Once he inside his apartment, he took his bath and dropped on the bed. With 9 hours to wake up.
