Going to a cafe (1)
Mary searched around online for popular cafes nearby in Country F. She hadn't been to a cafe for what seems like forever. She decided that she would take Levi there with her. She looked at the time it was nearly 11. Mary decided that the best time to go there would be at evening. What was she to do for now? She should go house exploring. She thought to herself. There were 3 floors in the pent house. She had seen the first and the second but she had not been to the third. She took her phone and went straight to the elevator. She went to the top most floor. There were 13 floors in total. The top three were Damon's penthouse.
The elevator door opened. Unlike the other 2 floors this one didn't have many bodyguards. It was safe to assume that Damon nor Levi came here often. There was a huge lounge. You could see the entire city from the huge glass window. Mary gasped at the sight. The view was just too good.
Mary made her way to one of the many rooms. It seemed like a work form home office. There was a black desk and a chair. There were 2 bookshelf containing books from famous authors. Mary found the entire Harry Potter and Percy Jackson book series there. "I will definitely come here in the future." The floor was made of marble and there were huge glass windows. Even though Mary's father's mansion was way more beautiful, She was still somewhat impressed. She sat on the chair and started spinning round and round like a little child. Mary went out. She made her way to another room. It had a huge pool in the center.
Mary couldn't resist the temptation of jumping in and quickly went downstairs taking the elevator.
There was a lot of time and she had no idea on what to do next. She went on her phone and started scrolling on Instagram. The top 3 trending posts were all about the Tyson family. Apparently Ray had won the best actress award, Zara had launched a new clothing brand and it had gone popular and lastly Damon had won the title of the world's youngest self made billionaire just last month. The news was still on trending.
"Damn, I can't believe Ray won that award. She is pretty and all but everyone knows Candy is the best actress." Mary said her thoughts out loud. Mary turned her phone off and made her way to her own bedroom. She sat on her desk and pulled out some pencil colours. She started drawing. Drawing was an old habit of her. She used to draw sceneries now and then.
When she was finished. She took the piece of paper and threw it in her cupboard. She looked at the time It almost 3. She decided to take a shower and get dressed up to go out.
After showering, she got into the bath robe. Feeling cold, she walked straight to the closet and picked out an outfit. She chose a full sleeve off white pants, light pink shirt and a white scarf around her neck. For shoes, she chose a pair of white sneakers. She brushed her hair and tied into a messy hair bun.
She applied some makeup and at last some perfume. She took her phone and the credit card that Damon had gave her.
She went to the living room and found Levi. "Lets go." She said offering her hand. "Okay." He said taking her hand. Mary asked Rosie for the car keys and made her way into the elevator with Levi after taking them.
She sat in the driver's seat. "Mama, do you know how to drive?" Levi asked. Mary turned the car on. "Yes, I have my driver's license with me too." She said checking the mirror. The whole ride to the cafe was quiet. Levi would occasionally ask questions like "What's your favorite colour?" or "What are your hobbies?"
Mary got out and then opened the door for Levi. She held his little hand as they walked to the entrance. 'Autumn cafe' really had the autumn theme going on everyone. Mary sat down on a table with Levi.
"What would you like to eat?" Mary asked him. He looked at the menu and replied back. "I think a chocolate milkshake and a sundae." Mary looked at him. "Are you sure?" Mary asked. Levi nodded. Mary then went out and ordered a chocolate milkshake, a sundae, a cappuccino and chocolate filled croissant.
She then checked her phone. Xavier had apparently sent her his notes. Mary texted thank you and then closed her phone.
"How old are you?" She asked him. "Five about to turn six soon." Levi said happily. The food arrived. It was very well presented. "When's your birthday?" Mary asked staking a sip of the cappuccino. "Sixteenth of July." Levi said taking a bite.
