Chapter 12

( DRUNK...ON HIS BED )

"Mavis!!!" Delaney screamed in horror as the guy started crying with the second eye.

Mavis resumed punching him without minding what he did to his eye already, and the guy continued crying.

At each punch, he bleeds more from the holes on his face, and Mavis doesn't seem like he's ready to stop.

"Mavis!!!" Delaney shouted again, and when he still didn't stop, she walked to him and hugged him tightly from behind.

"Please stop, stop already, don't kill" she begged, and that was when Mavis stopped the punches.

The guy fell flat on the ground immediately, he lost consciousness.

Mavis took deep breaths before facing Delaney.

"Are you ok?" He asked, checking out the visible parts of her body.

"I'm fine" she replied, but when he touched her shoulders, she cringed in pains.

"Ouch!"

Mavis made to face the guy again but she held him.

"No I'll be fine, he's already unconscious please don't do more" she said quickly, and he looked into her eyes before inhaling.

Dylan stood same time with Lexi, and he walked out of the place instantly.

"You have a girlfriend and you're telling her to help you talk to her friend?, Wasn't expecting that from a senior" Mavis faced Lexi.

"It's nothing like that, that girl is obsessed with me, she sent me gifts countless times which I rejected politely, she confessed to me a number of times too but I clearly told her I'm not interested, I don't know why she's doing this" Lexi replied, flexing his hurting arm.

Suddenly, the cops sirens started sounding, and Delaney's eyes widened.

In another minute, the obsessed girl showed up with four cops.

"There!, That's the killer!, He killed my brother!, Get him arrested!" She shouted in tears, pointing at Mavis.

The cops went to the guy's bloody body that's still lying on the ground to check him out.

One of them felt his jugular vein and nodded.

"He's still breathing"

"Arrest him all the same!, Look what he did to him!, He shoved a burning cigar in his eyes!" The girl shouted again.

Two of the cops took out the guy's unconscious body.

"Mavis Gregor, you'll have to follow us for now" they said, and Delaney faced him fearfully.

"Mavis...

"Don't worry love, I'll be fine" he winked and started leaving with them.

"I'll follow too" Delaney and Lexi said at a time, following them behind.

Immediately they got to the major hallway, students gathered already.

👥 He almost killed the guy!

👥 He's a gangster, no one can tell me anything

👥 But the guy deserves it.

👥 Who the hell is the guy?

👥 You don't know him?, Senior Xavier

👥 That dumb thing?

👥 Yeah, he was fighting for his junior sis, that Kita girl

When they got to the car, Mrs Gregor appeared .

"What the hell do you guys think you're doing!, How could you arrest a student of my school without my consent!, And of all students it had to be my only son?" She said hotly.

"Mavis Gregor almost killed a student, Xavier Darwin, he's being conveyed to the hospital right now" one of the cops replied.

"What!" Mrs Gregor gasped.

"Yes,he almost killed him!, He almost killed my brother!" Kita cried, and Mrs Gregor faced Mavis.

"What has come over you!"

"Sweetheart!" Paisley came rushing with the rest of the girls.

"Why are you here?, Don't tell me you're following them too" Carina said fearfully.

"I was the cause of the fight so it's only right to follow them, I'll be fine" Delaney replied.

"Cause of the fight?" Mrs Gregor faced her.

"The bastard hurt my girlfriend, I only gave him a taste of my wrath, he's lucky he didn't die" Mavis replied.

"What!"

"Get the CCTV footage of the hallway end before coming to the patrol unit, it has all the video" he replied as he got in the car with the cops.

Immediately they drove away, Delaney got in Lexi's car with him and they left for the station too.

SCHOOL CLINIC**

"I think you fractured a bone on your arm, you should go to the hospital for an x-ray" the nurse said after examining Dylan.

He actually went there straight from the fight scene.

"My arm bone, got fractured?" He said.

"One of them actually, go for a scan and get it treated, else you might not be able to use the arm for months" the nurse replied, and he left the clinic, holding his hurting arm with the other arm.

It's so painful right now that he feels like cutting it off.

"Dude!" Trevor showed up with Midas.

"What's up with your arm?" Midas asked, touching the arm.

Immediately he did, Dylan started crying.

"Not again, what happened again?" Trevor said.

"My arm...it hurts" Dylan cried gently.

"Yesterday it was your forehead and today it's your arm?" Trevor sighed.

"Another hospital visit, let's go" Midas said and held him, taking him to the park.

Immediately they got there, Madelyn showed up and followed them to the hospital.

PATROL UNIT**

"So you were saying Xavier suddenly attacked you when Lexi was talking to you" a cop asked.

"Yes, he actually appeared with Kita, Kita was saying I'm the one who was trying to take Lexi away from her" Delaney replied.

"So Lexi, Kita is your girlfriend?" The cop asked.

"No, believe me she confessed to me a lot of times and she sends me gifts always but I always reject everything politely, I don't know why she suddenly claimed me" Lexi replied.

"Miss Kita, any explanation?" The cop asked.

"I....I...I.. just love him so much and....I always feel like claiming him, it hurts to see him with another girl that's why I called Xavier to fight for me when I saw him with Delaney" Kita replied slowly.

"So Xavier came and attacked Delaney after pushing Lexi, then Mavis appeared and...

"Dylan appeared first and tried to save me, but Xavier flipped him, he hurt him too" Delaney cut in.

"Who's Dylan?" The cops asked.

"My stepdaughter's boyfriend" Mrs Gregor replied, coming in.

"Can we get an evidence that he got hurt?" The cop asked, and Mrs Gregor gave them the flashdrive containing the footage.

It was played, and the whole thing came to limelight.

"Where the hell is that bastard!, Where's the bastard who hurt my son!" Mrs Darwin shouted, entering the unit.

"Mummy" Kita rushed to stay behind her.

"Calm down madam" the cops said.

"Don't give me that crap!, Who else shoves a cigar stick into another person's eye if not a criminal!, I'm taking this to court!" She shouted.

"Your son hurt three people first!" Mrs Gregor shouted, and Lexi showed his bruised arm.

Delaney lowered her jacket to show her red hurtful shoulders.

The footage was played, and when she saw how he flipped Dylan too, she calmed down.

"This should be settled amicably, so stop shouting" Mrs Gregor said.

"Doctor report says the eye won't be functioning well anymore unless he undergoes surgery" Mrs Darwin said slowly, handing her the report.

After Mrs Gregor checked it, she sighed.

"I'll foot the surgery bills, and I'll pay other necessary bills you'll need, so please...calm down" she said.

Delaney inhaled in relief, and Lexi smiled.

TWENTY MINUTES LATER**

After signing the agreement, everyone left the unit.

Delaney left with Lexi while Mrs Gregor held Mavis back beside her car.

"Will you continue like this?, Huh?, What do you expect the public to say about Montana models college!, That the psycho son of the owner made another student go blind?, Why are you so bent on ruining my reputation!" She shouted.

"You expect me to stay still when he hurt my girlfriend?, You saw the video! he started it all!" He shouted back.

"That lowly girl?, I made findings about her and found out she's an orphan who lives with her friends family and has a lot of part time jobs, you're dating that commoner?" She glared.

"What's wrong with that?, She's human, and she's pretty" he replied, and she stumped her foot.

"You almost killed because of her!"

"It was worth it!" He shouted back.

"Just the way you killed your father!" She shouted, and Mavis stopped talking immediately.

Mrs Gregor's eyes were still wide with anger as she got in her car and drove away.

Mavis folded his fists, his lips and body shaking vehemently as he continued standing.

BACK IN MMC**

"Calm down, not like she got arrested" Melinda said to Paisley who was becoming impatient for Delaney to come back.

"I'm just scared" Paisley replied, and Carina placed an hand on her shoulder.

"Girls!" Gigi suddenly came over, waving at them.

"Thought you ditched us already" Paisley said.

"Guys, I'm...I'm sorry I...

"It's ok, we know you're getting bullied by Madelyn, probably because you're black?" Melinda cut her off.

"No it's not like that" Gigi quickly said.

"Stop trying to deny, we're neither daft nor dumb" Carina said, and Gigi blinked.

"That's Delaney!" Melinda smiled when she showed up with Lexi.

"Sweetheart!" Paisley rushed to her .

"See?, I came back alive" Delaney smiled.

"I was so scared" Paisley pouted and hugged her.

"Such a baby" Delaney smiled.

"Welcome back baby" Carina smiled.

"I missed you" Melinda winked.

"Lexi!" Winnie appeared and held his bruised hand.

"I'm fine" he smiled.

"No you're not, follow me let's get this treated at the clinic" Winnie replied and pulled him away.

"Delaney please take care of yourself!" He said.

"You too senior!" She shouted back.

"Don't you think senior Winnie has a thing for senior Lexi?" Paisley suddenly said suspiciously.

"It's obvious" Carina said.

"You guys won't ask the cause of the fight?" Delaney rolled eyes.

"Was just about to, tell us" Melinda replied.

Delaney cleared her throat and started from the beginning till where it ended.

"What!" They all chorused.

"Wait wait wait!, Senior Lexi... Likes me?" Paisley said with wide eyes.

"Trust me baby!" Delaney replied.

"Arrggghhhhhh!!!!!" Paisley screamed like a mad person, walking away from them while blocking her ears with her palms

"Wait babe!" Delaney laughed as she ran after her.

"Shocking" Carina said.

"I know, right?" Melinda grinned.

Delaney was still running after Paisley when Dylan entered the hallway with a bandaged left arm and his friends, plus Madelyn.

Delaney stopped running and looked at the arm before looking at him.

Madelyn started walking to her, and immediately she got to her, she slapped her soundly, and everyone gasped as Delaney's hair covered her face

"My boyfriend got hurt because of you yesterday and today!, Are you tryna get him killed?, What are you trying to do you witch!" She shouted.

Delaney shook her head, making all the hair leave her face.

She didn't wait for another second before slapping Madelyn back, but she tripled it, two on her right cheek and one on the left.

"Don't mess with me" she spat.

Paisley came over and grabbed Madelyn by the hair, pulling her hair tightly.

"How dare you slap my sweetheart twart!"

"Let me go b*tch!" She shouted, and when Gladys appeared to save her, Carina and Melinda grabbed her and started hitting her.

"These girls are..." Midas laughed.

"Pretty savages" Trevor smiled, staring at Melinda.

Delaney smirked and walked away from the scene, but Dylan followed and blocked her.

"What?" She rolled eyes.

"You're not hurt, right?" He asked.

"None of your business" she replied and walked away.

Dylan turned to stare till she was outta sight, then he sighed and bit the side of his mouth.

7PM★ MMC HOSTEL**

The girls just finished eating dinner, and they immediately made their way to the library to serve their punishment.

Delaney only went for one of her part time jobs today, the restaurant.

She didn't go to the coffee shop and the dry-cleaning shop so she'd have time to clean with the girls.

"You're so stubborn, I told you I and the girls could take care of it, now you skipped two part time jobs today" Paisley said.

"Spare me the gist, even four of us won't be enough to take care of the library, I won't be cruel to leave you three alone, my salary will just be deducted, nothing more so I'm fine" Delaney replied as they stepped into the library.

It's dry since it's late already, but they met someone in.

"Gianna!" Delaney smiled.

"Delaney!, Hi girls!" She waved cheerfully.

"What are you doing here?" Carina asked.

"Meditating?" She replied.

"Strange" Melinda muttered.

"Since you're here, you should help us with the cleaning" Paisley said.

"Punishment for unclean room?" Gigi laughed.

"Well..kind of" Delaney nodded.

"Alright girls!, Let's do it!" Carina shouted, and they got to work immediately, chatting as they arranged the scattered books.

"You girls are bold as f**k, can't believe you beat up Madelyn and Gladys" Gigi suddenly said.

"You're saying this cos you're scared of her, there's nothing to be scared of" Carina replied, pushing the trolley containing the books down her lane.

"I'll find evidence that you're getting bullied by the two, trust me" Delaney said.

"I'm really not getting bullied" Gigi denied again, and Paisley grabbed her arm, she quickly rolled up her sleeve and the bruises cane to view, they're much!

"F**k!!" Melinda and Carina gasped, coming closer to check.

"It got worse than when I saw it that night, and you'll still tell me you're not getting bullied?" Delaney said shockingly, and Gigi slowly took her hand from Paisley.

She rolled down her sleeve and started looking at the ground.

Delaney sighed and gave her a hug.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure this ends soon ok?" She said, and Gigi nodded on her shoulder, hugging her back.

"Let's get to work, we have to be done before lights out" Paisley said, and they broke the hug.

"So...I got us some booze!" Melinda announced, bringing out five bottles of alcohol from one of the shelves.

"You're a criminal!" Delaney almost screamed.

"I hid it here since I got it, let's get this done with and get high!" Melinda replied.

"I hail thee" Carina laughed and they continued cleaning.

They were done at exactly 8:20, so they sat on a table and took a bottle of alcohol each, they started drinking directly from the bottles.

"So... Paisley what are you gonna tell senior Lexi tommorow?" Delaney asked.

"Tommorow will tell" she replied, and Melinda belched lightly.

"So... Dylan really got hurt twice because of you" Carina said.

"Let's not talk about it" Delaney replied, drinking from her bottle.

"Is there something you're not telling us? Why do you hate this guy so much?" Melinda asked.

"I've been wondering" Gigi muttered.

"I really don't wanna talk about it" Delaney replied.

"But babe.." Carina said.

"Cari!" Delaney shouted, and Carina bit her lip.

"Sorry for shouting at you, it's just a memory I don't wanna talk about" Delaney said slowly.

"It's ok, sorry for being persistent" Carina smiled, and they continued drinking.

It only took thirty minutes for them to get drunk, and they all stood drunkenly.

"Let's go to the hostel" Melinda laughed.

"Hostel... hostel leggo!" Carina giggled, hugging herself.

"What a cold world!"

"Yeah!, Yeahhhh!!!!" Paisley replied, holding her head.

"My head is so heavy!"

"Paisley you're drunk!" Delaney cried.

"I'm o..ooo...k!" Gigi shouted.

"No you're not ok!!, You look drunk!!" Delaney continued crying as they walked out of the library, bumping into each other till they got to the hostel.

The rest entered before Delaney, and she supported herself with the wall as she moved slowly.

"No...wait for me...I can't walk....I can't...walk!" She cried like a kid till she got to the door of a room.

"Oh!, Found it!, Found my room!" She grinned funnily, opening the door

She entered the place and met a dark room.

She continued walking, bumping into things till she found another door which she opened.

"Home!" She shouted and laughed, walking to the bed while toppling on her toes.

She got there and fell directly on the person that's asleep on the bed.

"Who the...." Dylan said, bringing the duvet down from his head, but his eyes widened when he saw Delaney.

"Dela what are you doing here!" He asked shockingly, and she smiled drowsily before belching as her throat made funny sounds.

"Wait.. wait" Dylan said, but it was too late.

She threw up directly on his shirt, and his eyes widened again.

"Nice to...meet you...bad boy" she smiled drunkenly and slept off immediately.

She fell directly on him, and they went down together on the bed.
