Chapter 4 A gift

However, as Sagiri grew older, she began to learn more and more of her father's secrets: a green stone, a symbol of long lasting love for man and woman, an old radio and a guardian knife. She turns the old radio on to hear the sounds which she believes is from Babylon and the singing voice of T'chul-chul, a sacred protector on a mission to retrieve the guardian knife.

He feels Sagiri's presence in the forest and cautiously appeals to her. Sagiri's pet dog aggressively barks at him, which startles her as she tries to defend herself with her Aikido.

The girl is left in shock seeing the young boy on the ground, apologizing to him. As he looks up to her, he senses a familiar feeling. The boy stands up and puts himself into a defensive stance. She quickly

pulls out the guardian knife out of her pocket and aims it at T'chul-chul.

In shock, T'chul-chul recognizes the knife and launches himself to Sagiri urging her to defend herself by striking her arms, wounding himself as they both fall to the ground.
