Chapter 22 The Battle for Babylon

Kohinoor and his guardians prepare for their final battle against the Genesis. Their families have prayed and hoped for the city to be saved and for the war to end to bring peace to the spirit world.

As they ride their way to Kagi's group, flowers are being thrown by families to the guardians as a sign of love and respect for their service. They ride their way to the crater for one last stand against the Genesis explorers to finally put an end to the war. The guardians sing their anthem as they get close to the battlefield.

"The guardians vowed to do a deed, to protect both the worlds ~ A mission that could risk our lives but we fearlessly approach ~ The guardians are the finest warriors in the world ~ and united we stand, divided we fall ~"

Kohinoor: Listen, guardians! This may be your last battle, but this is how you die with HONOR!

Matthias: FOR BABYLON!

Guardians: FOR BABYLON!

Kagi and his men are outnumbered but are armed with their weapons, waiting for them to get in range and defeat them one by one.

The Guardians plan to get as close as possible to their enemies, so they separate themselves into groups to spread and confuse the Genesis. And so they charge into battle with high hopes.

Kagi manages to knock out much of the guardians in the frontlines. But Kohinoor and his generals continue to fight with all their heart. But as the Genesis gets close to the crater where the Stone of Life lies, Kagi grabs the opportunity and goes down the crater while the battle is at its peak.

Commander: Fire at will!

Gunmen: Roger!

A loud horn sounded as guardians swarmed from all directions, flanking the Genesis from the left and right sides.

Gunmen: What the? We've been tricked!

Guardians: FOR BABYLON!

Commander: Keep firing!

Gunmen: We are losing too much ammo!

Gunmen: No! No! NOOOOO!

Kohinoor notices that Kagi already went inside the crater and is on his way to get the Stone of Life, so he advances through the Genesis explorers and rushes towards Kagi, not to kill him, but to save him, putting himself in grave danger.
