Marriage Controversy

 His thoughts and emotions could not be ignored,but then he tried to set them far from his mind. 

 His duty during this period was to ensure that his baby was protected and secured which simply means keeping the child's mother safe. 

 " you should get plenty of rest",

 Vince said to Kara;

 " I have gotten enough rest,..

 " staying in bed for the remaining months will be good for the baby",

 Vince interrupted and tried to reason, but Kara was fast to give hers as well;

 " the doctor doesn't think is necessary, and I don't think I want to take that much time from work,it better I go on a live ones the baby arrives",

 " if its about financial needs, I can...

 " Not needed",

  Kara interrupted him anger evidence on her face.

 " I don't need any money from you neither will I collect even a dime from you if at all you give, and as far as it doesn't complicate or affect my pregnancy then I want to work "

 " I apologize for what I did,but then you don't have to worry, am not asking for anything from you,.. You don't have to be a father to the baby,you don't have to be available,.. I can handle this on my own",

 Kara said hoping that he won't talk her out of it;

 At that point, Vince didn't know the right words to use. 

 Being independent wasn't all good but unreasonable and stubborn really fit in quite well,but then he knew better than to use such words.

 " I am the baby's father ",

 " you know what I mean " Kara replied,

 " perhaps you should explain so that we both can understand ",

 Without acting fast, Kara poured another milk into her glass cup before answering. She was so absentminded that she did not notice some milk rimmed on her upper lip,but Vince did.

 He wanted to lick it off by himself,to have a taste of her again just like the way he'd taste back at Caribbean. 

 It was hardly an appropriate response, but nothing seemed to cool, the heat in his blood stream heat for Kara despite knowing how she used him.

 " what I mean is that...you don't have to be a father to my baby,.. You don't have to be there or claim her as your own,.. Nobody has to know and Ben won't say anything if we don't go first ",

 Kara said after a long silence and moment;

 " its not as easy as you think, she's my baby and my responsibility whether you agreed or not ",

 " that's not what I wanted", Kara butted in 

 "what you want isn't needed or necessary at this moment ",

 Vince said looking at her with seriousness present.

 " I do understand the reason for your action but then she is still my child,my daughter, turning my back on you guys won't be acceptable,.. my conscience will prick me ",

 Vince completed his sentence while Kara held a dumbfounded look;

 " your conscience has nothing to do with this,.. For crying out loud,this is the twenty first century,a new generation,..

 Am relieving you of responsibility and stress, do you think am not capable of taking care of my own baby?",

 Kara asked looking expectant for an answer and Vince had to face palm himself.

 " of course not, but then it doesn't stops me or mean that I should not perform my duty as her father",

 Vince said, still standing on his earlier words. She rolled her eyes like an expert who is featured in an American fashion run way. 

The strength in which she held was one thing he was continuously amazed with.

 " that is completely old fashioned ",

 Kara said looking annoyed;

 " maybe, but that's how I was created. I have been having this thought and the only way is for us to get married ",

 Vince dropped the bombshell and Kat looked at him like he has gone knots.

 " the only... What did you say now?",

 Kara was obviously shocked by his statement, but then it was the only solution to their problem or more like situation. He wouldn't be able to take care of them properly outside of their marriage,so they must get married. 

  The thought of Kara accepting his proposal brought joy,not only for him but his mother will also be happy. 

To Finally have one of her children get married and also have a grandchild coming on the way,would really make Andrea Vario delightful. But the one he wouldn't disclose is how the baby came about.

 " we must get married, Kara",

Vince said ones again and Kara thought of a more polite way to say 'NO'.

A more reasonable ,calm explanation of the fact that she had no intention of marrying a man as autocratic and intense as Vince Vario.

  " I will call my parents this evening, they will want to come for the event ",

 " NO!!"...
