Surprise pass through her eye. Arguing with him would really be pointless because Vince will still stand on his words even though he knows his title.
" You are a strong and capable woman who does not need anyone to depend on,.. Even an average blind person would see that you strong ",
It seems his words made her feel love again because at that point happiness and joy am surge through her heart and it swell.
"thank you ",
She muttered a thank you,which was the only thing she could say at that time.
Few seconds later,fatigue kicked in and and she yawn.
" you must really be tired, rest while I go out to wait for the cab in the leaving room",
Vince said while taking the tray from earlier with him to return it to the kitchen.
" sleep well and have sweet dreams ",
Vince whispered before closing the door behind him.
Curling up in her bed under her blanket, Kara took in deep breath and closed her eyes.
" things will be okay by tomorrow ",
** Next MORNING **
After brushing her teeth, Kara's mind went back to last mind. Her baby was the most important thing in her life and she wouldn't do any thing to contradict that.
The thought of wearing another oversize sweater to hid her quite obvious baby bump, made her heart to thump fast the moment she remember that she hasn't told Vince about it and if the secret is leaked out, and it is being spread like widefire,she hopes that she would be able to control it and pray that it would be a good news.
Definitely,her the sweater that she wears won't be able to conceal her round stomach for long.
Was part of it that made her scared was that she wasn't sure of what Vince reaction would be.
Whole different thought came to running through her mind, a door bell stopped the string of thoughts running through her mind.
Wondering who could be at her house at this time, though it wasn't early,but then she wondered.
" Could Hailey be the one",
The thought of Hailey being here made her remember their past conversation.
Looking through the pinhole inserted in her door, her surprise grew wider when she saw Vince there.
" what brings you to my house?",
Kara asked in her calm voice and Vince small at her fiestness.
" At least greet me first,.. Good morning,Belle",
Vince said looking at the already pissed off Kara.
" I pleaded with you to stop calling me those names,.. Am not in some Disney movie ",
Kara said exaggerating. smiling more at her cheekiness,Vince lifted up her car keys showing that her car is here.
" you didn't have to bother,I made a plan of bringing it on my own, wants am done with today's job" Kara said
" Since you are here, let me get my coat,scarf and bag, that's if you don't mind",
Vince didn't say much but waited patiently for Kara to come out after disappearing.
The snow from yesterday night made some places slippery, Vince held Kara hands as the walked to where he parked her car.
When they got to the mini garage, Vince didn't want to ask all possessive, so he ask;
" do you wanna drive, or should I?",
Kara looked at him and wondered if this was his first time coming to the states,
'at least be a gentleman' Kara thought but then her mind replied her
' he was and he is'.
" Go ahead and drive ",
Vince wanted to say some thing but he let it slide and just shooked his head as he closed the passenger's when Kara entered inside.
He walked over to the driver's seat and made himself comfortable before he started the engine.
Vince isn't the type to like a boring environment,he likes a lively surrounding.
Looking at Kara and seeing that she's in a better mood,he decided to start a conversation with her.
" it seems you and Mean Stewart are very close",
"we are friends or you can call it best friends",
"Okay... You guys met in the company or rather before coming or working in Digital Based?",
" we met in the company, Mrs Stewart is one of Ben's most trusted person when it comes to the company, she's Ben secretary, she's comments and knows about the company from start to bottom",
Kara wanted to go on but then she found put that there's nothing more to say apart from Ben being the owner of the company.
"you know Ben,right?",
" We met in Manchester",
"you didn't attend Oxford or Harvard?"
Kara asked stylishly adjusting on the seat to make in other to be comfortable.
" I did but that's when I was almost done with college,.. I started college back when I was in Paris, but after some time I was sent to Manchester then Oxford ",
Kara nodded her head and looked back at the road.
" that's OK ,.. At least you attending best university you'd like",
" am sure the college you went to was a good one, because looking at you and your exceptional skill,.. You are great ",
"thanks for the compliment ",
Few minutes later,they arrived at the company and Vince concerned self seems to return;
"are you sure that you are okay,.. You know we can always call a doctor ",
The word "we can always call a doctor",seems to really add more guilt to the one she had before. Earlier she was about to spill the beans and tell Vince about her pregnancy,but she was finding it had.
Maybe telling him will be a great idea, is not like she's asking g him to contribute.
She can take care of the baby on her own,.. Without his help...
