Chapter 13

It's been a week since the spy was caught by Yamato, and the unknown destruction of Azur Lane Base 12. No one has any clues who did it, some were already saying that it was a siren fleet that came out of the mirror seas near the base, so that's why it was targeted first. However, the only people who knew who attacked the base was the Admiral of base 1.

Anyway, today was exceptionally hotter than usual, maybe because it's nearly summer time or something. Yamato, and Shinano both decided to spend time on the beach with other shipgirls too, but Shinano couldn't help thinking about the request Yamato made last week because it was very usual, and kinda ridiculous.

[Last Week Ago]

[Admiral's Office]

"Anyway, since Yamato was the person who found out about the spy in the first place. Would it be rude to not give her an award? Right?" Justin said. "Tell me what you want, I will give it as long as it's within my power."

"I want a lifetime supply of spicy noodles, and coke!" Yamato said with no hesitation.

[Present Time]

Shinano looked beside her, and saw her older sister eating uncooked noodles like they were junk foods with a cold coke beside her. She sighed.

"Sis, aren't you eating too fast? Slow down or you might choke on your food." Shinano said.

"It's fine, Shin. I won't choke on my food." Yamato reassured her little sister.

Both Yamato, and Shinano were under a palm tree, sitting on a beach blanket as they looked at the ocean with many shipgirls walking past them, sunbathing, or swimming. They were enjoying the sunny, except, San Diego because she's getting chased by a great white shark while screaming for help.

"Help me!!!!!!!!!!!" San Diego screamed as she swam faster.

"Hold on!" A shipgirl said, equipping her riggings to help the super idol of Azur Lane.

Many shipgirls watched on the beach as they also cheered for San Diego to swim quickly, Yamato finished her food, and drank some coke before a certain blue haired battleship shipgirl approached her.

"Hey, Empress!" A shipgirl said, Yamato looked at her. "Today is the day I defeat you in front of the Admiral!!!"

"Today was my duel with New Jersey??" Yamato said, trying to remember. "Oh yeah! You're on!"

Yamato stood up from the beach blanket to run towards the ocean with New Jersey following behind her, they both equipped their riggings at the same time as they moved to their positions. Many shipgirls saw the two famous battleships about to have a fight against each other.

They began to root for the Battleship, some were rooting for Yamato then some were rooting for New Jersey.

Somewhere else, under a beach umbrella, and sitting down on a beach chair was the Admiral completely shirtless with Enterprise in front of him as he rested his head on her shoulder, and his arms wrapped around her waist.

"Two world famous, and powerful battleships are going to have a duel. Now, this is how to end the debates of Iowa-Class VS Yamato-Class." Justin said.

"Yes, darling. Although, I believe that New Jersey will win because she does have more advanced equipment unlike Yamato, but today is a clear day so Yamato will have an advantage." Enterprise said. "[I hope that fucking fox loses!!! Everyone knows that the Eagle Union has the best ships in the world! New Jersey possessed the American spirit!]"

"[Enterprise doesn't know that Yamato is abnormally unlike her world war 2 self, because what I saw inside that ship can be described as from the future.]" Justin thought. "We will wait, and see who will win the battle."

Back to the ocean, Yamato and New Jersey positioned themselves somewhere in each other's range. Due to Yamato having much bigger caliber guns, she has more range than New Jersey so, she moved a bit closer. They adjusted their guns.

"{Ready to lose?}" New Jersey asked.

"{I hope you like being humiliated!}" Yamato replied.

{How do you know I liked being humiliated by the Admiral?}" New Jersey asked.

"{What?}" Yamato said.

"{What?}" New Jersey said.

A brief moment of silence fell, the only sound was the wind, ocean, and the many shipgirls cheering on the beach. Both fighters shook their heads to regain focus as New Jersey opened fire first, massive 16 inch shells flew through the skies and headed towards Yamato. The Empress skillfully dodged them as she activated her shield skill because New Jersey's shot was followed by her barrage skill.

The barrage skill didn't even scratch Yamato's shield as New Jersey began to rush Yamato. The Empress made her shield disappear before rushing towards New Jersey as well. Both ships fired their main, and secondary guns at each other as they moved closer, and closer to each other.

Eventually, they stopped firing to engage in hand to hand combat. Both ships were equally matched to the surprise of Yamato, she doesn't have memories of being good at fighting close combat in her past life because she was a pacifist, and always tries to avoid conflicts. Perhaps, ROB secretly added some fighting skills in Yamato's mind beforehand.

"You're a good opponent!" New Jersey complimented. "But I will win this battle!"

"In your dreams, bitch!" Yamato responded.

Yamato found an opening, and punched New Jersey on the stomach then followed by a full 360 spin kick to the guts. The black dragon got launched backwards a few meters away, Yamato launched torpedoes in a tight position. New Jersey stood up, but it was too late as the torpedoes were inches away from her. However, she was quick enough to be ready for the impact.

New Jersey got flung backwards again by the explosion of the torpedoes, her body skipped on the surface of the water a few times before she stopped, so she could stand up. New Jersey fired her main guns at the Empress, Yamato used her shield skill again to block the damage of the 16 inch HE shells.

The explosion caused by the shells made a thick black smoke which New Jersey used to take an advantage to attack New Jersey. However, her plans were ruined by the smoke fading away to reveal Yamato still had her shield activated to block New Jersey's attacks.

"What the?!" New Jersey said firing her main guns at the shield at point blank range.

The shield only absorbed the damage dealt by New Jersey, Yamato used this opportunity to attack New Jersey as the black dragon blocked her attacks as well. They engaged in another hand to hand combat, but this time New Jersey's attacks were harmlessly absorbed by Yamato's shield. The black dragon launched more barrage of punches, but it was all for nothing like Raiden fighting Armstrong.

"H-how come I can't break your shield?!" New Jersey yelled. "A-and..! My attacks just deal nothing! What is that shield made of?!"

"Wave motion." Yamato said, punching New Jersey backwards. "And I don't even know how I got it, but it doesn't matter because this battle is over!!!"
