Test

A week had already passed and during that time I only ate, read and trained for the test. I mostly studied about my thunder magic but also gained new knowledge of this world, that wasn't mentioned in the simplified history book from home.

If I had studied more physics back in Earth, I would have known these things beforehand about thunder and electricity, but I mostly slept and didn't pay attention in class. For the exams I just read the night before, barely passed and forgot everything the next day.

But I learned something interesting, I previously mentioned how there were only five different classes for monsters: yellow, orange, red, magenta, and violet.

But there is a sixth one, it's not commonly known but it still exists.

It is for monsters that are super intelligent, old and use something called unwinnable magic. I also before thought that every magic has something to make it more "balanced". Like for my realm magic, I need to keep my people alive and not help them too much. For thunder magic there are many counter elements, like rock and wood.

But unwinnable magic is something that doesn't have anything to counter it and is almost impossible to lose a 1 vs 1 using it. So it's unwinnable for other people. Luckily these monsters that use it don't want to destroy anything and are so called "chosen ones" from this world.

There aren't any examples of this unwinnable elements because none of the monsters have revealed them. But I would want to meet one. It is also possible to make your magic unwinnable, you aren't born with it but it's possible, however no human has ever accomplished it.

This is the biggest thing that I learnt but I'm already inside the guild to have my rank up exam. Clare saw me as I got inside and looked at me scared about what I was going to bring or do this time. She was lucky, after all I was here only to have my rank up exam.

-Oh yeah, it was today, walk past that corner to the arena.

I walked past the counter and towards a big door, when I opened it there was a big arena, still almost 10 times smaller than the one that was in the 1 vs 1 tournament, but it was still a big one.

There were some people sitting in the seats for the spectators and no one on the actual arena. I noticed a tall bald man in the middle and started to walk towards him, he quickly noticed me and waited till I had gotten closer.

-What are you here for?

He stared at me for some time and then answered.

-When I call your name, come here.

-Alright.

I bowed, because that's what my mom told me to do for people like him and took a seat in the front row.

There were some fights before me, but none were that impressive, they all got C or D rank.

It was finally my turn, I got up and walked to the arena. It had some cracks and burn marks from the previous battles. But it was still usable.

-Show me your strongest attack.

I nodded and thought about what to do, I could show the so called "strongest attack" but then I wouldn't have any trump cards and I didn't need to use it either, I could get A rank with a lot weaker attack. Should I try something new?

I started to gather enough mana for my attack, I was going to put everything to this one attack, because he only told me to attack, not fight. My core got full quickly and I started to start my attack. I first made the surrounding air for my liking and makes my attack stronger.

When the prep work was done, I electrified my feet, hands, sword. I was glowing and sparkling everywhere. I had to do this fast before the conditions are back to normal. I launched myself towards the man and broke the sound barrier with that.

Instructor however wasn't there for nothing and got ready to block. But because the air is now better for me, I wasn't enough and when I slashed a huge power of thunder hit him also.

He flew and crashed the wall, broke it and the next wall with him. Everyone from the inside and people watching were shocked. Something raised from the rubble that I could see, and it was the instructor.

He got up and started to walk towards me, everyone got out of his way and thought that something bad was going to happen. When he was close to me, he opened his mouth but didn't say anything, then he said two things.
