An Unexpected Newcomer

A voice sounded from the entrance of the hall, a mixture of rushed speech and labored breathing. It sounded like this person had been in a hurry to get here. As the newcomer’s voice died down, the sound of their ragged breath could still be heard.

All eyes turned toward the newcomer, different emotions filling them. Some stared with curiosity, while others with displeasure, especially Amando who was about to walk through the archway a moment ago. He had just managed to muster up the courage to enter this unknown land, but all of that courage and determination were dashed as this newcomer showed up and interrupted him.

“How is he here?”

Arias muttered in surprise and looked at the newcomer, not quite able to believe his own eyes. But Arias was not the only one who felt this way. In fact, everyone was in the same state ever since they recognized that this newcomer was someone they knew.
