Poisoned

Wade came back to his senses abruptly, he felt an intense pain as if thousands of electroshocks were working their way through the intricate rough pathways of his brain, he could feel every cell, every tissue as if they were being cruelly burned.

"AAAAGGH!"

The sensation was extremely unpleasant and painful so Wade couldn't hold back the scream. However, the torturous feeling of the lightning bolts left behind something unexpected. Various memories of a life that did not belong to him slowly crept into his mind until finally, it all stopped.

[Complete the first test to return to your world...]

A sign appeared in front of him, but he couldn't stare at it for long, as an unpleasant feeling was rising in his stomach - he was about to vomit!

Instinctively, he looked both ways, looking for a place to relieve this unpleasant feeling. There he could see that he was not in the same place as before.

Wade was in a pleasant, if very small, room decorated with small intrinsic details of red and yellow, the floor of the room was covered with cushions, while on either side a small curtain separated him from the outside.

The ceiling was very low, so low as to prevent him from standing up, the width would allow him, just barely, to lie down comfortably, while the length could allow another person of the same size to rest at the other end.

Quickly, he moved towards the curtain, deflecting it with his hands, and unable to contain it any longer, he unloaded the entire contents of his stomach.

[The poison inside his body has been successfully removed!]

When he had finished, this little notification had surprised him. However, once again, he didn't have much time to check, for, as he looked around, he had surprisingly unloaded all his vomit on one person!

'Shit!'

Not knowing what to do, he tried to think of something to say to him, though nothing he could say was going to make amends for the disgusting act he had committed. In desperation, he took a deeper look at the person, and to his surprise, the person had not reacted.

Although he could see the displeasure on his face, due to a small, almost imperceptible grimace that escaped from his face, which he seemed to be struggling to hide. The person kept looking straight ahead.

Looking more closely, Wade could see, this person was chained, over his neck and both hands was a chain thick enough to restrain a wild animal.

Over this person's shoulders, a timber protruding from his small room was being held by the man, as he walked with heavy steps, under his feet a fine sand of the lightest color being pushed with each step of the man.

The chain on his neck stretched unbroken towards other people in the same situation, there were dozens of people in the same situation as him, struggling desperately to stand.

'Slaves '

To one side a rider mounted on a beautiful white horse in leather armor galloped rhythmically over the sand, as he rapidly approached.

"Your majesty, are you well?"

The rider addressed in concern. He wore leather armor with several silver accents that made him stand out. Though it looked rather imposing, Wade disagreed with his attire, for overhead a massive sun loomed that threatened to burn everything around him, and wearing metal on top of one would not be the best of ideas.

Though he was confused for a moment, the memories infused into his mind as soon as he awoke echoed, and he quickly replied. "I'm perfectly fine... Carry on."

Saying this, he gave one last pitying glance at the poor slave beneath him and went back into the small room, not forgetting to close the curtain carefully behind him.

Looking at both hands, as he closed and opened them continuously Wade confirmed. 'Finally, I'm inside the tribulation.' He thought, though somewhat reluctantly, as the trials of tribulations were not a place a person would wish to enter.

Although each tribulation may vary for each person there was always one thing in common and that was that it was always a cruel and unpleasant place, where one would have to bring out all their survival skills if they wanted to make it out alive.

Wade, at this time, appeared to have entered the body of an unpleasant heir to the throne of a tribe called Skyf. The original owner of the body was named Doyle Sild, and he was apparently on his way to a strange tradition his tribe has, before a wedding ceremony.

Although Doyle's memories ran through his mind, there were several gaps in them, but at least he had the necessary knowledge to be able to know the context.

As I recall, Doyle was an extremely unpleasant and irrational person, continually abusing his position as future heir to hurt people, while his father did nothing but encourage his behaviour, with the words, 'The future King, he has the right to do what he wants'.

Because of this, Doyle's behaviour got worse and worse, he even abused his little brother, making him grow in constant suffering.

This is one of the reasons he had avoided helping the poor slave, as helping him would be extremely 'Strange' and within tribulation it was far better to remain cautious.

Wade couldn't help but feel disgust for Doyle, remembering the actions of this person, he was sure that if he came across him, he would be met with a great blow.

After thinking this, the memory of a recent message came to his mind, 'The poison!', remembering this, Wade opened both eyes in surprise, he was definitely not the only person who didn't like Doyle.

On arrival in this body, Doyle had been poisoned, and by vomiting the poison had been removed from his body. Normally, he wouldn't care what happened to a person like Doyle, on the contrary, he would be happy for a person like him to cease to exist. However, at this moment, he was Doyle! He could not allow someone to kill him!

As he surfed through his memories, Wade was trying to remember everything he had eaten or drank lately, but the annoying fog was always there to interrupt his memories.

Frustrated, he let out a small sigh, it seemed that the fog wasn't going to let him remember so he gave up the idea of searching his memories. Instead, he looked around the room, and there a strange tray with several appetizing looking apples were displayed in a red colouring.

Although he was tempted to take one, the thought that it might be poisoned stopped him.

Of course, it could have been anything else, but the fact that he had been poisoned and that he had these appetizing apples in front of him was a clear warning sign. However, he couldn't remember eating any, nor could he remember who the person was who gave them to him, so for the moment he would have to resist the urge to try one, which sounded increasingly difficult as his stomach began to growl.

*Sigh* Wade couldn't know how many times he sighed this day, but it looked like it wasn't going to be the last.

Forgetting Doyle's memories, he decided to pick up on the advice the evolved people used to give on television, in which there was something they always said to check as soon as possible.

'Stats.'

After whispering that, strange sets of numbers began to form in front of him, which quickly began to translate and from one moment to the next Wade was seeing them as if they were simple letters.

[Name: Wade Langister]

[T1: 1/3]

[Evolution: -]

[Evolutionary Fragment: Track Vision]

[Number of Artifacts: 2]

[Artifact: Skyf ceremonial Handcuffs]

[Artifact: Skyf ceremonial Mantle]

'No attack artifact?' Wade thought.

Upon taking the test, the cursed would usually have an attack-type Artefact that would allow them to deal with any dangerous situation, as well as an evolution fragment which consisted of a small physical enhancement or some strange ability that varied from person to person.

Generally, the evolution shard had to do with the evolution one would have upon completion of the test. In Wade's case, he awakened the evolutionary fragment called Track vision.

Focusing a little more on that option, the strange letters changed, and a small description formed on the evolutionary fragment.

[Track Vision, allows clearer black and white vision in the dark, allowing for better visibility in the dark, living entities will show up as a yellow silhouette].

Interesting. He thought. Though a little disappointed, as the ability was nothing more than a visual enhancement, which wouldn't do any good unless it was at night or they were in a dark room.

Moving through the strange system was fairly intuitive, so he easily moved from tab to tab and the description of his Artifacts appeared.

[Skyf Mantle: For countless years, the Skyf passed this command from generation to generation, its colourful details are said to have the ability to attract the attention of the gods themselves, it is often used for wedding ceremonies, it lacks defensive features].

[Skyf Ceremonial Wives: According to Skyf succession tradition, they must carry a slave as a sacrifice of good faith, seeking to maintain a good relationship with Abdul. The bearers of the wives may not refuse the orders of the one who imposed them on them]

Again, Wade was a little disappointed, he thought that at least the cloak would give him some defensive enhancement, but the system itself warned him that it had no defensive features, so it seemed to be a totally useless item.

The handcuffs, on the other hand, seemed to have something interesting about them, though he lamented that it wasn't something offensive, the description said that those who had the handcuffs would be forced to follow his orders.

Quickly, several uses went through his mind, but there were many things he had to think about, before putting them to the test, he couldn't just use them, for a start he didn't even know if by placing them on someone, he could remove them again, besides it seemed to be a key object for his tribulation.

According to the memories, Abdul was a beast tamed by the tribe, which Doyle had to return with as a token of his power as heir, and from what the description said he must have a sacrifice.

Now that he knew what his resources were, Wade was immersed in thought, he had to figure out what his next steps would be, as there was a person who wanted him assassinated and he could not afford to ignore him.

However, his thoughts were quickly interrupted.

"Your majesty, I am sorry to interrupt you." A voice sounded from the curtain, just before a person crossed through them.
