Okay, round two.

Amid all the chaos and screams, Wade's gaze curiously settled on his brother Bright.

While Taiger served as a shield against the constant attacks of the beasts, his brother, with an enchanted look, held the young slave girl, who, surprisingly, seemed to ignore the wounds on her body and kept her eyes closed, wearing a serene and beautiful expression in his arms.

An atmosphere of imperturbable tranquility had formed around them, as if time had stopped and they were completely isolated from the chaos outside.

However, the enchanting scene hid a terrifying detail that did not escape Wade's eyes.

While his brother's bewitching gaze was fixed on the unconscious girl, he was gripping a sharp dagger tightly in his hands, its point aimed at the slave's neck.

The scene that once appeared enchanted quickly turned into a nightmare as Bright slowly drove the knife into the neck of the unconscious girl.

Her eyes flew open, bloodshot and filled with desperation, meeting the cold eyes of her killer.

Bright's handsome face remained close as she feebly tried to push him away. She let out muffled screams through the blood, but it was useless; her strength had long since abandoned her wounded body, leaving her with no choice but to accept her cruel fate.

In a moment, the girl's silent cries ceased, her eyes losing their light and all signs of life under Bright's cold gaze.

His brother's hand soon reached out slowly, brushing the girl's face as he gently closed her eyes with a soft and tender touch.

At that moment, as if sensing Wade's eyes on him, Bright's gaze shifted to his brother.

That look sent chills down Wade's spine. He realized, without a doubt, that his brother was far more dangerous than he appeared, and that he would have to watch out for him.

However, Wade's thoughts were quickly interrupted by the roar of one of the beasts that had locked its gaze on him.

Even though the evolved beast was distracted by the group of slaves, that didn't mean the others would ignore him. He needed to stay on constant alert; after all, even the most harmless-looking beast posed a deadly threat to him.

The tribulation beast stared at him with its two enormous eyes for a moment, while the blood from its previous victim dripped slowly from its mouth, hidden by the tentacles on its face.

Its two large horns pointed in his direction before it began a fierce charge.

A faint sigh escaped Wade, soon replaced by a slight smile.

"Okay, round two." he said in a mocking tone.

As he saw the beast rapidly approaching, Wade tightened his grip on the dagger and braced himself for the incoming attack.

Somehow, the pressure the beast exerted no longer affected him. His mind felt calm, his legs didn't feel heavy, and he could move freely.

Wade couldn't help but think that this newfound composure was thanks to his earlier encounter with the Evolved Beast. The previous experience had been terrifying enough that now he could stand his ground in the face of this fearsome creature.

'Compared to that squid from before, this beast is nothing,' Wade tried to reassure himself.

Though he wasn't scared, the danger was very real, and he knew he stood no chance of surviving a direct fight with the beast.

The massive beast rushed toward him, pounding the sand with its tentacles, its rapid footsteps loud and intimidating. However, the most terrifying thing of all was its large horns.

At the moment the creature was about to hit, Wade leaped with all his strength, successfully dodging the beast's charge and clumsily landing on its side.

However, dodging the beast's charge wasn't enough to escape its attack. After all, it still had its long, menacing tentacles, which it used to strike him with monstrous force.

Surprisingly, Wade had kept the dagger on guard, managing to deflect the lash of the tribulation beast with it. But such an attack wasn't something an ordinary person could withstand and come out unscathed.

Due to the impact, Wade bounced off the ground and was sent flying several meters, dragged along by the force.

Wade struggled to his feet, his body aching, his legs seemingly drained of strength, while the arm holding the dagger was covered in blood and dislocated. Fortunately, the sand had cushioned much of the damage; otherwise, he was sure the attack would have been fatal.

The beast let out another enraged roar, clearly displeased that its prey had survived the terrifying onslaught. Wasting no time, it charged again, this time with even more ferocity.

Wade's condition was pitiful. He barely stood upright, his bloodied arm hanging limp, while he held the dagger in guard with his other hand, waiting patiently for the beast.

Meanwhile, his mind raced frantically, searching for a way to escape. However, every scenario his brain conjured ended in a tragic demise.

"Dammit!"

From the beginning, Wade knew he couldn't defeat the beast, so his only strategy had been to survive as long as possible. With luck, perhaps a soldier would notice him and come to his aid. As bleak as it seemed, this was his only hope for survival.

Yet, he never expected to be in such a dire state after just the first attack.

His legs had lost their strength, barely keeping him standing, and the nearest soldier was several meters away, too busy saving their own life to notice him.

As the beast rapidly closed in, Wade had lost all hope and resigned himself to his tragic fate.

Until, suddenly, something unexpected happened. In front of him, the air seemed to tear apart, and a cluster of particles resembling tiny stars began to spill out from it.

Suddenly, an enormous sword emerged from the torn space, intercepting the beast's charge and effortlessly crushing its massive horns until it reached its skull, which met the same fate.

'His evolution allows him to teleport,' Wade thought in astonishment, watching Taiger step out of the portal.

A moment later, his brother emerged from the same portal and rushed over to help him.

"Your Majesty! Are you alright?"

Bright's words were soft, seemingly filled with genuine concern. However, the image of the young slave being stabbed was still vivid in Wade's mind.

"I am," he replied coldly, avoiding his brother's attempts to assist him. Though he truly felt like he might collapse at any moment, he couldn't bring himself to trust him.

Taiger glanced at the brothers before turning his attention back to the battlefield.

The situation was dire. The soldiers were disorganized and scattered across the field, barely surviving as they were hunted by the beasts. Meanwhile, the three riders raced around, trying to take down as many beasts as possible.

Seeing this, Taiger knew what had to be done.

Soon, his lungs filled with air as he prepared for what came next. "Soldiers!" His voice boomed, louder than anything heard before, carrying across the entire battlefield.

"Regroup!"

No matter how absorbed in battle they were, every soldier heard the commander's order and instinctively did their best to move towards his position. The riders shifted their focus as well, now working to help their comrades regroup.

In a short time, the soldiers had gathered, naturally forming a circle with their shields raised, encircling Bright and Doyle.

Once reorganized, they focused solely on defense, while Taiger and the riders took advantage of the moment to eliminate each of the remaining beasts.

In a short time, the soldiers' morale began to rise as the pile of beast corpses grew steadily.

However, it wasn't all triumph. Now that the soldiers had regrouped, they had drawn the attention of the evolved beast. Its presence became unmistakable when it let out a thunderous roar that shook everyone to their core.
