After leaving the room, she walked down a hallway and bumped into a door which she opened then entered a living room. She then noticed an exit leading outside the building, and as she came out, her body trembled and she saw a few kids running past her and a few guys walking in the yard while some were training on the lawn.

"Where is this?" She asked and they looked at her and then smiled.

"You are finally up, she is awake!" One of the children yelled and Myalis covered her ears after hearing a ringing sensation.

"Oh, you are indeed awake," A woman said as she approached Myalis, the girl looked at her then she smiled and grabbed onto Myalis's hand, taking it off of her ear.

"You need to relax, take a deep breath, and focus on the air around you," She said.

Myalis let out a sigh, drew in a deep breath, and then closed her eyes while concentrating on the air around her. While doing that, the ringing sensation finally subsided, she opened her eyes and then smiled.

"Thank you," She said as she looked at the woman and her eyes widened as she stared at her.

Myalis recognized the person in front of her at that precise moment, but she was speechless.

The woman was tall, had short, wavy brown hair, was slim, and had blue eyes. Her face was round, and there were a few wrinkles around her eyes.

"Lilian..." Myalis mumbled and the woman sighed.

Myalis was about to move and the woman looked at her then smiled as she approached her, grabbed Myalis by her arm and pulled her into a tight hug.

"It's okay, kid, don't run, let's talk for a minute, please," She said.

The girl sighed then the woman smiled at Myalis before raising off of her.

Myalis lowered her head and sat down by the stair as the woman sat next to her and turned to face her. "Myalis, you know, you and I need to talk, I went to your funeral not so long ago, yet here you are, alive and well," She said.

"I am alive because I fought back, I got help as well, they wanted to kill me but I was saved, you know I love my family very much, I would never do anything to hurt them, I have a goal, one that I have to fulfill or I will never find peace, them, believing I am dead is probably for the best, it's one way to keep them safe and to deal with what I have to," She replied and Lilian sighed then looked at her.

"So, that was your fake body, was that your mother's familiar, the one who had the ability to take the form of a person it cared for the most?" Myalis nodded when she asked.

"Look, kid, I've known you since you were a little girl, I don't know what happened to you, but I know how much your family means to you, I know how far you'd go to protect each other, which is why we won't tell anyone, but what you're after is dangerous, isn't it?" She inquired, and Myalis nodded then the woman exhaled deeply and scoffed.

"We knew your family very well, Myalis, we know how you guys were with each other, I know you can't see them hurt and I know you wouldn't do such a thing unless you have to, your mother was a woman with many secrets, she was often in danger as well, we knew her better than your own family," A man said as he approached them, and Myalis looked at him and saw that it was Lilian's husband and her three young children rushed to her and hugged her.

The man was tall, with short black hair, slim yet muscular, light green eyes, wrinkles by the side of his face, a broad jawline, and a small beard, and he was dressed in long black pants, a brown shirt, and a blue jacket with fur around the head of the hoodie, his name was Calris, a martial artist.

"You knew my mother was protecting me from something?" Myalis asked and the husband nodded.

"But, we don't know what, she couldn't tell us, she said she couldn't risk putting our lives in danger but she will do what's necessary to protect her family, no matter what it is, we knew her before she got married and we made a promise to her as well, she told us if something bad happens, we must help you, we know you have a purpose, you have to find out what that is, you cannot let the past define you," He responded and Myalis glanced at him then scoffed.

"You are right in a way, tell me, how did I get from there to all the way here?" She asked.

"I found you," Lilian responded and Myalis looked at her.

"How?" She asked then she turned to her kids.

"Kids, go on inside, we will join you shortly, okay?" Lilian said and they nodded then she patted them on their heads and they went inside before she returned her attention to Myalis.

"I was coming to visit your mother, it was supposed to be a surprise, but that obviously backfired, when I arrived that morning, all I saw were dead bodies and a broken-hearted brother and father; I looked at your bodies, but yours was different; I have a special ability of my own, I could tell you apart," She responded.

"A special talent?" Myalis asked and the woman nodded.

"I can tell the difference between real and fake, that wasn't you, I used my husband's wolf to track your scent, it led me into the forest, there were ashes on the ground and burnt marks, and a cocoon with you in it, I panicked, but then decided to bring you back with me and wait until you wake up, I didn't know what to do at first..." She responded as tears streamed down her cheeks and Myalis looked away from her before exhaling deeply, holding her tears back.
