CHAPTER 2: ZOE

Finally, Taylor appeared as a werewolf he understands the world of the paranormal and right now I need help with this terrible tempering visions.

"It's Nena. I need to go save her."

I sobbed getting up before running, a hand held me back to an embrace. Unease and terrified I broke free from the warmth and ran. Running next to me he directed me to his car. Forever a gentleman he ensured I was buckled up but unfortunately, I could not be grateful as time was against life.

"Hey Tye. Slow down or else we going to crash."

He drove way over the speed limit and in a small town as chesterfield the bar was set low. Praying to the goddess of nature she counted her blessing reciting a protection spell for, possibilities.

"Hey, you have the belt on."

What is so good about seat belt, if this man's driving lands us up below the cliff? Although I have powerful ancestry power, I refuse to place my life to chances and properbialities. Goddess forbid he would literally be perfect for incredibly fast and furious, at this point all that franchise needs is he car keys to their world. For a drive meant for thirty minutes we arrive there in a solid nine minutes and fifty-nine seconds. You could hear the car screech to an immediate halt, Tay made it to my side opening the door before shifting and dashed into the woods because of the dark energy that disappeared there.

"Taylor!"

My guard on edge a foul aura lingered. Hearing groans I sprinted towards the front door and the sight made me freeze in terror.

"Nena?"

I sobbed my hand covering my mouth horrified at the bloodied scene. One more groan dragged me out of the depts of shock and I ran towards her. Blood dripped from her nose and a knife in her back not knowing what to do I fumbled for my phone and called the police.

"Mom what happened?"

Using magic to slide the knife out carful to not cause her more pain than she is right now. I tried healing her but for some reason it did not work. Absorbing energy from the earth mom stopped me before I could attempt to heal her.

"There is a storm coming."

Coughing. Coughing blood, I made her rest her hand on my lap. Storm is that a metaphor for something big? What was the negative feeling spreading in the air? Breathing deeply, the scent of rotten black magic permeated the air. Sorcery, slowly piecing the pieces of a puzzle she spoke once more.

"Zoe. You must meet your destined... he will protect you."

Her voice started fading and she handed me her hand understanding her form of communication especially now when she is too weak to. I took her hand in my trembling grip and immediately I held it as if what she was about to show me holds all the answers.

"I am too tired... focus your energy." she whispered.

Right. The weirdest sensation rushed through my body sending a jolt of energy to the dark. Focusing on those sensations an image appeared. A beautiful mansion purposely stranded in the pits of question. Looking beyond the view the feelings of belonging and home touched my heart. I felt a deep loss when the last element vanished to blackness. I did not need to open my eyes to know what happed and silent tears escaped.

"AHHHhhhhhhhhhh!"

A surge of power fueled my need to lash out. Taylor returned as human helping me inside the house when it began raining and then Nena. Nothing matters but this pain the pain that make in invisible from emotions. Why is my family being targeted? Why are they trying to destroy me? Why did they just take the person who means the world to me?

"Zoe, I'm so sor-"

The proper response to that trilogy is bolt of lightning, the sharp light broke as the thunder rumbled. Sorry, was a word I never wanted to get used to. I felt empty as I lost connection with the world, eyes raw I roared out in anguish shattering everything to shards. I felt so in touch with my magic or terms of my people sipho, I felt everything including every molecule, atom, energy life force all around me.

"Snap out of it, Zoe!"

I couldn't turn it off, in fact I did not want to. It hurt so bad my head burning and breaths labored, I began to enjoy the power. I crawled to the shores of hell to produce fire which I released the energy creating chaos. A warm rough, slimy object of some kind snaked my cheek drawing me out of the wonders of rage to momentarily confusion. Opening my eyes, I felt my best friends reassuring presence as he smuggled into me, licking my tears away. Sobbing into him uncontrollably his fur catching my fears, pain and me. We stayed like that until exhaustion overcame my tired mind. Before darkness enveloped consciousness, sirens echoing from a distance and felt the fur recede to muscular physic but I was so out of it to even get embarrassed.

"Common Zoe open your eyes. Look at me."

A soft voice coxed, but I couldn't I was too tired mentally and physically opening my eyes felt like more of a chore. Gentle fingers brushed my skin, whispering soothing words and it all felt real. My mother is no more so are my adopted parents there is no way this is coincidence. I will not rest until the person who is reasonable for this travesty pays or at least suffer as much as I have.

Opening my drowsy eyes, the world looks different and feels absolutely riveting. Glancing at the walls I saw the protection spells and elements feeding the environment with energy. Doctors hurried inside taking moms body focusing on the distance I focused the amount of energy I have left to mummer a spell cleansing her corpse form the clashes of dark magic. It is the least I could do for her and as for the house I strengthened those runes, this is my house so is everything inside whatever these bastards want they will have to take it from my corpse.

Mind determined to serve justice for anyone bent on destroying everyone around her and if karma has anything to do with this, I will find a way to kill that bitch. Taking her out will create chaos in this otherwise creation of caution to consequences. Disturbed with the darkness she feels, she prays Mother Nature forgives her trespasses and threats to destruction.

Lost in thought my numb body got lifted on a stretcher and before the first knew it I was in a moving car with a man reciting my life from a piece of paper. Taylor gazed into my shimmering eyes and I held his hand promising this is not the end before I got sucked into oblivion.
