"Fiancé??" Ben stammered, with his eyes glued on to the blonde angel sitting in front of him and slowly sipping her coffee.

Was this still the same woman who was wet and wild with him last night ?!

Yes, it was her. He was definitely not mistaken. How on earth could he ever forget her?

And now she was just sitting in front of him as if nothing happened and calmly smiling.

Hrmm..

This awkward breakfast was then followed by an awkward day and a few awkward months, while Ella's name worked its way through the family tree.

Everybody knew of her and everybody loved her!

They loved her so much that they even forgave her and Dex for eloping and getting married secretly.

Why wouldn't they?

Though they hastily got married, Ella took her time to transcribe an elaborate and detailed prenuptial agreement.

This clearly showed that she was not interested in their family's wealth. She only cared about Dex and nothing else.

But still .. Ben was not satisfied. Something was surely amiss here.

How can a woman so in love mistake someone else for her fiancé? Why did she sleep with me that night?

It has been five whole months now since that momentous occasion.

Dex and Ella have been constantly traveling and exploring the world together.

They were newly weds and this was their honeymoon period after all.

And as for poor old Ben, he was stuck going crazy all alone by himself.

This woman was a drug. She got him hooked and left him for dead.

The five long months eventually passed

and here they are attending their parents wedding anniversary celebration together.

And Ben was at the end of his wits. He needed answers.

Besides the fact that he was lusting over his brother's new bride, he also wanted to make sure that his brother was not in some sort of dangerous situation.

But he hardly got a chance to talk to either of them during all their traveling.

So today was the day ! He was going to finally put an end to his agonizing misery. All he needed was just an explanation.

Any explanation would do. He was even ready to accept the most improbable one. That's how desperate he was.

He waited and waited patiently throughout the entire evening sulking and simmering in a corner.

Normally, his loving family members might have found this unusual.

But now, with the angelic bitch occupying the spotlight, no one even bothered to notice his weird mood.

Make up your mind Ben ! Either hate her or adore her ! His conscience cursed him.

Finally, towards the very end of the merry night, Ben managed to find his brother Dex by himself.

Grabbing his glass of scotch, Ben waddled over to his lucky bastard of a brother and boisterously greeted him.

"Bro.. Bro.. Bro.. looks like you are too busy to have a chat with your beloved brother these days."

Ben blabbered acting completely drunk and sloshed.

"Ha ha. I am never too busy for my amazing Benjii" Dex smiled and hugged his drunk brother.

His brother is always very serious and hardworking. It was very rarely that they got to see him like this.

Everyone thinks he is a born genius, but there is an entirely hidden madman within him, who works day and night passionately.

"So how is it going Ben? Which project are you working on this month?" Dex asked feeling a bit guilty.

He sincerely missed working with his brother on his insanely exuberant ideas.

But the honeymoon travel plan was his lovely Ella's idea and he couldn't bring himself to say no to her.

Ben slurred his words and spoke haphazardly, "Hmm.. same old same old. When are you coming back to the city?"

"Not sure bro. I think we have about 3 more months of adventure left ha ha." Taking a sip from his drink, Dex chuckled and replied.

"Ah that sucks. I miss my partner in crime. My amazing sister-in-law really digs these trips huh." Ben asked seriously.

"He he. Looks like it. This is what she asked for as a wedding gift."

Dex ruffled his hair, staring at the night sky and then at his beautiful wife helping his mother with the desserts.

"Say, I do have a suggestion. This way, we won't be disappointing sister-in-law even a teeny tiny bit." Ben smirked and cautiously spoke.

"Hmm ?"

"Maybe I can join you guys."

"Oh?"

"Yes, I will be that cursed third wheel." Ben made a sad and lonely expression, before bursting into laughter.

"I mean seriously bro. Think about it. You can accompany sister-in-law, whenever she wants and spend some time working with me as well."

Ben made huge puppy dog eyes and waited for his brother to think about his idea.

"Hmm.. I think that sounds good. But will she agree? I mean we mostly do social service and help the locals wherever we go. We aren't even sight seeing or anything like that. So maybe she should be fine with it ?" Dex tried to reason out loud.

"Yes yes, she will for sure. Tell her that this is important to you !!" Ben excitedly encouraged his brother.

But ...

A few minutes passed and Dex returned after chatting with his gorgeous wifey, "Sorry bro."

"What the hell happened?" Ben asked frustrated.

"She said something about finding ourselves in the middle of nowhere, good for our soul, inspiration and so on. But anyways, it's only 3 more months. So I will be back home sooner than you think." Dex winked and consoled his brother.

"Oh my god. Grow a pair of balls will you. Why are you so whipped you duffer !?" Ben shouted.

His brother could only helplessly smile and shake his head.

Ok. Looks like this is useless. I have to go to my plan B. Adjusting his attitude, Ben calmly asked, "Where are you going next?"
