Chapter 21 Mana Meter

I sat on one of the armchair that was beside the couch where the triplet was sitting.

Phil also sat where he was seated previously that is opposite of the triplet and then he continues.

"So I was awakened a week ago but I didn't come earlier because my parents hosted a party for my celebration and many people came, they just came on and on which just makes me tired then I have to take rest of two whole days and two more days to getting prepared to go to the academy, I also got some recommendations to take them as my teacher but they are so many, I mean soooo many, so I am having trouble selecting them."

As he ranted out I looked at the triplet and they were annoyed as hell.

'how the fuck are they going to survive for several hours here?' I thought and decided to give them a hand and forced myself to listen his ranting.

"What did you say your name again?" I asked as I feel like I heard his name somewhere.

"Phil Johnson. Son of the Stuart Johnson the Chairman of Johnson Corporation."

The Johnson Corporation are in a strategic alliance with the Marshall Enterprises through they are in a strategic alliance but they act as a branch of Marshall Enterprises.

"So then you also know Tina Marshall then."

"I...umm, yeah, I- I do, I mean it's not a big deal we had dinner many times and..."

His cheeks turned red and his voice starts to stuttered.

Something about this is irritating me.

"So have you also met Anna Marshall, the S-Rank priestess."one of the triplet asked, ignoring his ranting.

"No, I didn't but Tina Marshall and I are close we often hang out and eat dinner together sometime too." He continued.

'yep, it is irritating, he is irritating and I really want to smack his face' I thought and as I reached my limit of tolerance I spoke.

"I met aunty Anna."

'ohh, crap'

Though it's true and I used to call her aunty and still do but you can't call a S-Rank Hunter like that as they are high profile people, so once the people got the wind that someone called them aunty they will follow you to the end of the world just to get some information out of you.

Their eyes widen by my claim.

"So, you are her niece?" The triplet asked.

"No, my mother was a close friend of her."

"Was?" She asked again.

"Yeah, she died in dungeon break, five years ago."

"Oh, I am sorry." She made a sad face which seem like she meant it.

"It's alright." I said with a smile so that she didn't feel to bad.

I looked at Phil because he was quite for a long time which is odd. He was staring at me as if he would swallow me whole, his cheerfull and proudfull face turned cold which makes me wondered what happen.

"Did you say your name is Julie?" He said as cold as fuck and I didn't like it.

"Yes" I answered.

He run his eyes all over my body as if scaning me.

"So, what is she like?"

A triplet asked. Her eyes were sparkling, the other have same look on their face.

"What?"

"Priestess Anna."

"She is sweet but we haven't met in a while."

I replied. Their expression changed by my answer, they are looking at me in doubts.

"Are we talking about the same person?"

"Oh, right." She has a image of a cold priestess, which is true but only for stranger but for me and my little sisters she is sweet. There is a rumor that she got more active in last few years which clearly because of my mother's death, "that's her public image, but the real her is actually sweet and caring although I don't think I am allow to say that." I continued.

'Click'

A door open and woman in a staff uniform came.

"We need to check the amount of Mana in your body as it will affect the process, so please follow me."

She came and went, we followed behind her.

There are three doors in a waiting room, one is the entry door, second which leads to the centre and there is a third door and we went in that door.

Inside the room, there was a Mana meter which was 5 feet long, there was a space where we have to stand in order to check the Mana and was surrounded by crystal stones. This big machine have several wires attached to it that goes to the screen which was fit in the wall and uses to reveal the results.

They first called the triplet and one by one they check out their Mana which was 345 for each triplet.

"Impressive." A man who was just standing at the corner said. He was a Hunter who was assigned here. My eyes widen by the huge difference between their and my Mana level.

"How many days since you Awakened?" He asked.

"Eight days."one of the triplet answered. The man praises them.

Then they call Phil who was a priest, so he didn't have Mana as priests uses holy power.

"Julie Anderson." That woman call out my name.

I step forward and stand at the wedge.

'Ting.'

[ 2338 ].

"What? is this the Mana an awakened supposed to have?" The Hunter asked shocked and looked at me who was equally shocked.

'how does it have that much?...the system clearly showed it is 24. Then why?'

"How high is it?" One the triplet asked. I also looked at the Hunter as I was curious too about it.

"You need to be a two-circle mage to maintain that much Mana." He answered.

"Then, how much Mana one-circle need?" I asked as the numbers is different from my system.

"No, it's not like that, you don't need Mana to have or create circles but you need circle to maintain that Mana."

Ding.

As soon as he explain, I got notification from the system.

'Hmm, but how about the requirements of creating mana-circle which has Mana as its requirement.'

"As for how much Mana you supposed to have that need 1st-circle is 100." He continued.

'Hmm then one system Mana is equal to one hundred of this Mana meter.'

I thought, the system is different from the Hunter association measurements.

"So, how did you have so much Mana, let me give some advice if you don't make circle then that Mana can harm your body and if you intake Mana potions more than your body take them it will also damage your body."

The Hunter seem to be a Mage type but I was curious, so I asked.

"Are you Mage type Hunter?"

"Yes, I am C-ranked Hunter which makes me 4th- circle mage and the rank increases as the circle does, it is very clear for mages as all the mages are same, we don't need to hide our ability." He explained all that probably because it's about his ability.

"So, how do you have that much Mana?" He asked again.

"..." I didn't replied which he understands, so didn't pry further.

"You can go back to your room, we will call you as we are ready for you." The woman said and we went back to the waiting room.
