"Sleep well." Lord Xie Yang planted a kiss on his wife's forehead and then wished her well.
He caressed her face and found it both hot and cold. His eyes narrowed. Even the heater and closed doors and windows couldn't keep the cold winds of the winter night outside of the room, Lord Xie Yang thought, dissatisfied with his current strength. If he were a strong cultivator, a mere wave of his hands would've warmed the room and kept him and his wife warm.
Fearing his wife might catch a cold, he tucked her inside thick blankets. While he himself decided to cultivate for the rest of the night and sat down on the outer bed as he didn't want to disturb her. Lord Xie Yang looked towards his wife with narrowed eyes. There was something strange and mysterious about Lin Hua that he didn't know of, and he was sure that she also didn't know that she was special.

He willed for the blue specks around him to enter his elixir field.
In the very next moment, many specks of spiritual energy in the surrounding started moving towards him. They seeped into his pores and entered his body. Then, they wandered straight into his elixir field, increasing the total count of his spiritual energy.
After another two hours, he met a wall, meaning the amount of spiritual energy in his elixir field had reached the limits of his spiritual energy capacity. He couldn't cultivate any more as it would only be a waste of time. He first needed to strengthen his elixir field and increase his spiritual energy capacity, and only then would he be able to put more spiritual energy in it.
His cultivation session came to an end.

Lord Xie Yang inspected her. Spiritual energy surged out of his palms and entered her body. It circulated throughout her body before heading three inches below her navel. His eyes widened, pleasant surprise and genuine happiness vivid in them. The place where his spiritual energy was heading was Lin Hua's elixir field. It meant that his wife had the potential to become a cultivator!
Something shocking happened before his spiritual energy could enter her elixir field. Frosty energy burst out of her elixir field and slammed into his spiritual energy, crushing it. As a result, Lord Xie Yang also got injured, and blood came out of the corner of his mouth and began trickling down.
Although he was bleeding, he didn't utter a single cry.
The amount of pain Lord Xie Yang was feeling was something he could neglect.
