CH237: SHADOW DUTIES (PART 8)

[Time: Midnight.]

[Location: Dezhong's bedroom.]

After eating and resting for an hour, Dezhong Prince composed himself and stood in front of his room's mirror. With great determination, he stared at himself with a grin on his face — a way of encouraging his inner self and, supposedly, a way to dispel the fear in his heart.

"Last time I was in the Shadow Realm doing these duties, I got infected by a Dead Mutant's scratch," he gulped hard, his forehead starting to grow moist from stress and fear-induced sweat. "However, I didn't have this amount of strength since my last visit to the Shadow Realm. Maybe this time, I'll be able to do something great."

With his mind made up, Dezhong took a deep breath, looked at himself one more time, and prepared to head into the Shadow Realm.
