The Beginning of Darkness
Ethan: I am finally 16! Now, I can see if I will be able to awaken my ability. And I am pretty sure I will be awakened.
[Ethan's sister] Sara: yeah I am sure too big bro.
[Everyone older than 16 will go for a checkup to see if they can awaken their ability, but some can't awaken]
The Next Day
Doctor: "The checkup says you have no ability MR. Ethan"
Ethan: I'm sorry what?
Doctor: I am sorry to disappoint you MR. Ethan, but you can't awaken your ability.
Ethan: [feels disappointed] "That can't be true. How could he say that"
Ethan heads back to his house
Ethan: [with a low voice] I am back.
Sara: What happened? Did you awaken your ability? What ability is it? Tell me, big bro.
Ethan: no! The doctor said I can't awaken my ability OKAY! Just leave me alone for now. [Runs back to his room]
After a while, Sara speaks to her brother
Sara: Hey big bro.
Ethan: [with low voice] I said leave me alone.
Sara: cheer up brother. Maybe your ability takes some time to awaken. Do you remember the news that we saw a couple of days ago?
Ethan: what are you talking about?
Sara: About a 20-year-old guy?
Ethan: Nope no idea.
Sara: A 20-year-old guy got his powers awakened.
Ethan: Hmm. I do remember something like that, so do you think I can awaken my ability anytime now?
Sara: That's right.
Ethan: But how long will it take? I can't wait that much longer.
Sara: Don't give up big bro, you can do this.
Ethan: Well that's right I shouldn't give up easily
Ethan gets his confidence back and waits for a whole 2 years, but nothing changes and he has no ability, Sara turns 16 and gets her water ability.
Ethan: (I am 18 now, but the doctor said I still can't awaken)
One day Ethan walks by the street suddenly a mysterious portal opens and someone shows up in the portal, he has a big sword in his back. The second he showed up he started killing everyone he saw, destroying everything in his path, Ethan sees someone about to be killed, and Ethan knows he can't help anyone but he has no choice but to buy everyone some time, so Ethan steps in
Ethan: Hey big guy with a dumb sword!
Unknown guy: uhh?
Ethan: yeah that's you, Come get me.
And Ethan started running but he couldn't keep up, and the unknown guy caught up to Ethan in no time
Unknown guy: "YOU ARE SO DEAD"
Ethan gets stabbed in his chest
Ethan: what? He just stabbed me. N-no it can't end like this no. I am bleeding the pain is too much and I can't believe I am going to die before I can awaken my ability. It's just…
After a while, Ethan finds himself in a dark place
Ethan: W-Where am I?
Unknown Voice: "YOU ARE DEAD"
Ethan: Oh that's right I just got stabbed right in my chest.
Unknown voice: "DO YOU WISH TO GO BACK?"
Ethan: Go back? You mean I can go back to my life?
Unknown Voice: "YES"
Ethan: is that possible? Wait, who even are you?
Unknown Voice: "I AM YOU"
Ethan: You are me? So you are saying that I am talking to myself?
Unknown voice: "YOU DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME"
Ethan: (Even if I go back what can I do there? I am still a weakling who just died, and I still can't awaken my ability. But I can't give up I should do something.) Yes, take me back.
Sara: Hey big bro, you are finally awake you were sleeping for a whole day
Ethan: Where am I now?
Sara: We are in a Hospital, you were unconscious in the street near the conflict that happened yesterday
Ethan: really? What happened to my wound, I got stabbed in my chest, right?
Sara: Stabbed? Who got stabbed? You were just unconscious, if you were stabbed then you would be dead now.
Ethan: (If I didn't get stabbed then what happened? No I got stabbed for sure, maybe that Unknown voice healed me? But how is that possible, what if I got awakened my ability? I should go for a checkup)
The Next Day
Doctor: MR. Ethan, it looks like you awaken something, but I can't say what kind of ability exactly, to be honest, I never seen a result like this before.
Ethan: You mean I got my abilities awakened?
Doctor: "YES"
