Sir Allenson Knows Mr Clair!?

[January 18th, 2017]

[7:30 P. M]

It took around 20 minutes to reach Ivy's old apartment building. Ivy was sitting in the backseat closer to the window on the passenger's seat, and Sebastian was sitting on the other side.

Ivy was moving her head from side to side, moving it at the tempo of the music playing while she sat quietly watching out the window. A quiet hum came from her as she was distracted in her own world.

Clearing his throat, Sebastian spoke, "Ivy, we are here."

Ivy looked over at him with a nod and a smile before they both got out. Following Sebastian, Ivy walks into the old build with a sigh. She had little good memories here, but now they are all gone, she misses this place.

Mr Sauvé was just walking around. When he noticed Sebastian he was shocked and shot a disgusted look when he noticed Ivy. he quickly walked over and bowed offering a smile, "Sir Allenson! I am shocked to see you here. Is there anything that I can help you with?" He asked, raising his head.

Sebastian looked down at the old man, "I want to visit the tenants in apartment eleven." Sebastian monotone, straightforward.

"Of course sir, please follow me." Mr Sauvé instructed, turning around and walked up the stairs.

Ivy and Sebastian followed close behind. Ivy made sure she stayed hidden behind Sebastian like a shy puppy.

Soon the three made it to the top floor where Mr and Mrs Clair lived. When Mr Sauvé Left, Ivy stepped in front and knocked three loud knocks on the door.

After three minutes, the door slowly opened and there stood Mr Clair. He flashed a bright smile at Ivy and looked up at the man beside her. His jaws dropped.

Sebastian was also in shock when he saw Mr Clair.

Ivy looked from Mr Clair to Sebastian and back at Mr Clair with a cute confused face.

The two men were looking at each other like it was the bible story where the one son takes all of his inheritance and leaves, then soon, the son comes back in a complete mess and the father is shocked when he sees his long-lost son.

"Hun, who's at the door?" Questioned Mrs Clair's soft voice from inside the house. Getting no response, Mrs Clair stood up and almost broke into tears.

"Sebastian Allenson! Is that you?" Mrs Clair exclaimed and ran up to him to hug him. Sebastian hugged her back.

"Yes, I didn't expect you two to live here." Sebastian responded.

"What brings you by?" Mr Clair asked.

"Well, my new lady told me she needed to visit someone, so I brought her here." Sebastian said gesturing towards Ivy who was standing there ever so confused.

Mrs Clair looked over and offered Ivy a sweet smile while letting go of Jason, "Dear, you are back!"

Ivy nodded, "I am, I did promise that I would visit you after I needed to leave, so I did."

"You are so good at keeping your promises dear. Me and Mr Clair were worried sick about you." Mrs Clair beamed.

"There was no need to worry about me Mrs Clair, I am someone who doesn't need anyone to worry about me." Ivy explained while Sebastian studied Ivy. "Please don't stress yourself out, worrying about me."

"Ivy, you know Mrs Clair can't do that. When you first came here, you were broken and Mrs Clair doesn't want to see you like that." Mr Clair explained. Ivy nodded in response.

"Well, now that you are here, come in and let's have some snacks." Mrs Clair offered, gesturing into her home.

"Thank you, Mrs Clair." Sebastian bowed his head and walked in while Ivy followed behind him.

[7:40 P. M]

Mr Clair was sitting on the couch with his wife while Sebastian sat in the armchair and Ivy sat on the ground hugging her legs, leaning against the television.

"So, how do you know Sebastian?" Questioned Ivy out of curiosity.

"Well, it was a few years back before me and Mrs Clair moved into this small apartment. The day was sunny, and the clouds were bright white. The breeze was warm."

[1:01 P. M]

Sebastian was six years younger, 20. Taking on a family business is hard when you are sixteen. And harder when you have no one to help you. Sebastian has been running Allenson corporations for four years and sweated blood and tears each day to make sure the company didn't fall down.

Mr Clair and Mrs Clair were billionaires and had their own company up and going. They didn't plan to have an heiress or an heir for when they were ready to let go of their company. Their original plan was just to give it all to charity and orphanages.

When they heard the news of Sebastian, suffering from the loss of his grandparents and late parents. The Clairs admired Sebastian for his hard work and perseverance.

Knock!

Knock!

knock!

"Sir Allenson, CEO Clair, and his wife are here to talk to you."

With a sigh, Sebastian leaned back in his chair and monotone, "let them in."

Back then, everyone knew how successful Mr and Mrs Clair were. They were role models, idols, celebrities, a someone.

A light knock was heard on Sebastian's light brown door before Mr Clair stepped into the room with a smile. They both bowed to them.

"Sir Allenson, it is a pleasure to meet you." Mrs Clair chirped.

"As it is to you." Sebastian greeted, standing up and bowing before taking his seat again, "sit if you may." Sebastian gestured towards the two chairs in front of his desk.

The Clairs took their seat and Sebastian asked, "May I know what you need?"

"We need nothing, it is you that needs something." Mrs Clair responded with a beaming smile.

Sebastian gave her a puzzled look. He didn't need anything, he had everything… didn't he?

Mr Clair noticed the puzzled look and clarified, "What she is saying is that you need help."

Sebastian pursed his lips, "If I may ask, can you please expand?"

"Well, you are working so hard to keep your parents happy, even in their afterlife. You may not realize this, but me and Mr Clair can see you are suffering and need a helping hand." Mrs Clair explained, "After the past four years of watching, we can see that you are trustworthy." She continued.

"And if you don't already know, we don't have an heir or anyone to pass down what we have." Mr Clair continued off about what Mrs Clair started.

"So are you asking to quit my family's company and become the heir of yours? I'm sorry-"

Mrs Clair cut him off, "oh no, no, no, we are not the type of people that would ask such a thing."

"Then please explain…"

"Well, our first plan was to give our stuff to charity and goodwill." Mr Clair explained, "But we can see that you would better make use of it."

Sebastian raised an eyebrow.

"We want to offer you our money, company, and everything else when we are ready to retire." Mrs Clair said straightforward.

Sebastian was shocked, "pardon me, but can you repeat yourself? I don't think I clearly understood you."

"We want to give you everything that we have gained throughout the years of being a CEO. When we retire, you will gain our company under your name so it will become a part of Allenson's Corporation. All of our workers will also become yours. They are highly trained and can also help your current workers train to their levels. Your company will grow big and become well known, you will be one step away from being the most powerful CEO." Mr Clair clarified.

"But of course, with the good pros, and there are much more that my husband didn't mention, there are some cons that you should know about." Mrs Clair spoke before Sebastian could open his mouth. "You will become a big target, you are going to need to be careful no matter where you go. You will get a lot more responsibilities and the Rose's will be keeping a closer eye on you, waiting for you to mess up to expose you."

Sebastian nodded and mentally made a note.

"Now once we finish our time on earth, you will receive billions and anything else we have. Your name will be on our will. It would be like being our son and heir…" Mr Clair addressed.

"... but instead of you taking over our company and business and keeping our name, all that is ours will turn to the possession of the Allenson's." Mrs Clair finished her husband's sentence. "Keep in mind that we are not forcing you or begging you to, this is just a paltry offer to help you with your family business."

Sebastian nodded, "alright, but before I say my decision, why don't you make an heir or heiress, or just adopt one."

"We are simply too old to make one dear, and it is already too late to adopt one. Me and Mr Clair would be gone before the child finishes school." Answered Mrs Clair.

"We have also tried making one when we were younger, but Mrs Clair sadly has medical conditions so she can't give birth."

"Hm." Sebastian leaned back in his chair while thinking and balancing the pros and cons in his head for around five minutes before sitting up straight to give them his answer.

"I will."

His answer made both Mr and Mrs Clair smile. Their company would be safe in his hands. They gave him all their trust.

Mr Clair pulled out a black hard briefcase and placed it on Sebastian's desk. Then he opened it and pulled out a piece of paper. The paper was a contract, an important piece of paper to show proof that the Clairs gave Sebastian their company and money for when they retire and die.
