CHAPTER 21: NO PAIN, NO GAIN!

In the corridor of Hollice Hospital Emergency Unit...

Daniel was frantically pacing back and forth. He had taken off his suit and was sweating profusely. He kept glancing through the small round glass that enabled a view to the room inside.

Inside the room was an unconscious Viveria whose body had finally revolted against her strenuous and stubborn lifestyle. Her blood level was not only too low but also thanks to her anxiety issues, her body had reacted so badly that she was still unconscious and her blood level was somehow not increasing. It was as if her heart and body both were going against her will to live!

Daniel could feel the sting of his tears at the corner of his eyes. He hated feeling helpless and weak. He should have been there when Viveria had fainted! If he had somehow not gone into the Boy's Locker Room, who knows how long an unconscious Viveria would have been lying on the floor?
