Experience and Battle

Thorian stopped at a considerable distance from Derk and his men, who were formed in circles. His gaze was simple yet determined, knowing that killing these people should only be the beginning.

"Have you finally decided to show yourself? Wait, you're just a kid." One of the soldiers was stunned to see Thorian, who appeared to be no more than ten years old.

Thorian only smiled, looking at Derk, who was the strongest man in the group. His body muscles were at least twice as large as his. When Derk looked at the target that had been killing his men, he was surprised to see it was just a child.

This was a disadvantage for Thorian because many firebending masters together could pose a problem, but this wasn't in his considerations because if someone here was powerful, it would be only his intention to kill.

"Where is the main fleet that recently attacked a village?" Thorian looked at the man, who seemed to be the leader, and didn't rush to attack.

There were many powerful waterbending masters, but none as special as the one Derk had in front of him. This caused some confusion for Thorian because this ice control was specifically for killing.

Returning to reality, Derk felt a chill down his spine. After being on the defensive for some time, he focused his eyes on the demon child and decided that if he didn't kill him here, it would cause many problems in the future.

"Don't think much further than this situation; you'll probably die before doing what you're proposing, little boy," said Derk, looking at Thorian with a piercing gaze.

But at that moment, not receiving a response, Thorian walked towards him slowly, expressionless.

"Are we going to kill him?"

"He's just a kid; this is shameful."

"We've killed kids before; we must do it now too, or they'll kill us."

Thorian unsheathed his sword, and a frost began to cover his right arm in a very subtle way.

"If you don't want to move, I'll report this to the base, and you'll receive the appropriate punishment!" Derk shouted fiercely, and with that shout, he ran towards Thorian while his two fists ignited in flames.

Derk's face was distorted with growing anger at having lost many of his men. He raised his fire-covered fist and lunged it towards Thorian.

Thorian's eyes gleamed like crystal. Seeing the fist coming, he sidestepped and turned towards Derk's back, sliding on the ice, which fueled his movements. Extending a finger, he struck towards Derk's waist, leaving large traces of ice on the impact area.

Derk blocked with his retracted arm and couldn't receive clear damage, so Thorian ended up hitting Derk's stomach, which was inches away from him.

Pum! Pum! Pum!

Thorian's fists felt like he had struck a steel plate. He looked at the man's armor in front of him, and with his unsheathed sword, he attacked the other masters in the distance.

Boom!!!

"Aaaahhhh!"

Derk's eyes gleamed with surprise, and he quickly decided to abandon the attack. Instead, he stepped back and distanced himself a little from Thorian, who seemed to have control of the fight now.

The control of his abilities was something unique that Derk had only seen in this child, so he knew one thing, and that was that he had to report this to the nearby colony as soon as possible.

"This kid is very cunning," murmured Derk as he held his partially frozen waist.

Seeing that Thorian had gained some distance between them and didn't seem nervous, Derk felt anxiety in his heart.

The waist was a vital point of the body, and if someone had damaged it by brute force, the damage wasn't insignificant. If force is exerted beyond a point, it could also be fatal later.

Derk had been out of the cruiser for too long, and for that reason, his body was wrapped in the damp atmosphere, causing his reaction speed to be a bit slower and the damage received to be greater. Therefore, the previous attack froze much of his waist, and he would have been out of commission.

Fortunately, although Thorian's attack was effective, he was able to block a large part of that attack, and his armor helped reduce the damage received. So, at the crucial moment, his body reflexively reacted and allowed him to block a part of the received attack.

"I can't be more careless! This kid behaves like a killer, attacking with hardness and deviation, trying to kill in each of his movements; no one can be careless." Derk thought, looking at Thorian, who was very calm.

If he could capture Thorian alive, that would be a great achievement; knowing where these new waterbending abilities came from was all they needed to be rewarded.

Thinking about this, Derk's heart began to feel that excitement. Extending his arms, he threw several fireballs at Thorian.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Thorian showed no fear, and with a movement of his sword, large ice spikes emerged from the ground, trying to find the bodies of those people in the distance who were also participating in the attack.

But in a moment of opportunity, Thorian closed the distance to Derk to engage in hand-to-hand combat. Exchanging punches and kicks and taking turns to attack and defend, loud sounds of impact were heard throughout the area.

Flames and ice spears shot out, and in just a few minutes, Thorian had managed to seriously injure two Fire Nation soldiers who lay on the ground with bloody wounds.

At every opportunity he had, Thorian moved his right arm, launching large attacks at the firebending masters who tried to deflect the ice spears that ended up crushing their weak attacks.

Derk, on the other hand, began to break out in a cold sweat.

Thorian's movements aimed at the vital points that each firebending master had; each blow was torturous and deadly, as if he wanted to end Derk's life right there.

Derk was just a captain, and unlike the true firebending masters, although he trained well in his physical combat, his vital points remained vital. Having learned from a powerful general of the Fire Nation, he knew perfectly well each of these men's weak points. To tell the truth, everyone had a limit, and these soldiers had reached theirs.

"It's only a matter of time..." Thorian murmured, seeing how large layers of ice were covering the bodies of his enemies, who were doing everything possible to defend themselves.

He had trained with his father; he knew martial arts because he had received a very rigorous doctrine, all because it was suspected that someday he would have to fight just as he was doing right now.
