Love ya

———————————————————————

It took me two weeks to arrive at the desert where I would find the spirit library; with no clear idea of where to go or what to expect besides the sand benders in the area, I decided to go to the middle of the desert, and start my journey from there.

The desert was like I had expected harsh, and unforgiving, with the cruel but fair winds of the desert slowing me down by the minute.

But I had no doubts I would succeed; I was prepared for the challenges ahead of this desert. Most of my life in the northern water tribe had been spent honing my body and mind for the harsh environments of the world.

Not only that, but I am the Dark Avatar, meaning all my natural skills were drastically boosted thanks to Vaatu, meaning I was built for this.

Besides, my stay in this hellish place was going to be short, of that I was sure, thanks to my water sense, it was a matter of hours before I found the library, the one place bound to have more water than this dry, unforgiven nightmare.

"Let's see," I said as I closed my eyes, letting all the water around me guide me to my destination; the north side of the desert was mostly dry, and so was the south save for a few exceptions, on the center, I felt something, but I wasn't entirely sure it was the library, for all I knew it could be an oasis of sorts or a settlement for the bandits of the area.

But if that I had felt wasn't an oasis or a bandit camp, then this… was most definitely what I was looking for, but even then by my calculations, it would take me roughly ten hours to get there, ten hours that in the case of me being wrong, would go down the drain.

"Well, I guess I have no other choice but walk," I sighed, knowing full well I had little options when it came to bending right now; the water in the area was almost non-existent.

Meaning I didn't have enough water around to utilize for movement, I barely had enough to keep myself fully hydrated at all times, and fire bending with this environment was for obvious reasons totally out of the question.

But, perhaps I had a third option, Earth Bending, while the traditional way of Earth Bending was out of the question for me, right now, mostly because I had no idea how to do it, nor where to begin with Sand Bending, on the other hand, should be easy.

Sand Bending was an alternative style of earth bending that had been specifically adapted for use in the Si Wong Desert, aka where I am right now, by the people that live here, aka mostly bandits, but what makes this style easier for me is that this style resembles air and water bending, more than earth bending.

And while I had no idea how to bend air yet, I was a master in water bending.

"It's worth a shot," I shrugged, as I tried my bending motions focusing on the sand, pulling and pushing, over and over again, but nothing.

This continued for an hour, with me getting nothing until in a fit of rage, I did the pull and push but not the same way I am used to; it was more firm, this time, my push created a wave of sand of massive proportions, scaring a few unaware animals under the sand.

"Fuck, yes!" I laughed, and while it did take me an hour to get some sort of result, I knew now how to duplicated, it was like water bending, but I had to be firmer, stand my ground, instead of redirecting the energy like with water, I had to force it in a way to obey.

*Caw!*

I looked at Crowley and his worried expression; he probably still had PTSD from my last inventive move, where I had fucked my body for over a week, "Don't worry buddy, this is easier than keeping a body in the air for hours," I winked at the worried bird, and without further ado, I started to bend a wave of sand, as I had seen on the show Toph do with earth.

But unfortunately, I had failed to foresee my lack of control and crash after advancing a mile.

*CAW!* Or, I told you so, that was what Crowley I thought my bird companion was saying with that specific caw.

"Ugh," I stood up from the sand in a fit of cough, "I know… but I just need more practice; I just moved a mile or so from our starting point; that alone would have taken me at least half an hour or so on foot, and all it took me was around a minute," I smiled, shaking the sand off my body, getting ready to start surfing on this desert again.

Was I good? Ha! No, was Crowley right, and this would end badly for me, probably. But I was having too much fun to care for the consequences right now; I was basically surfing on the sand; how fucking cool is that?!

"This is awesome!" I laughed as I darted forward once again, riding on the sand, with Crowley digging little claws on my chest, "FUCK!" I shouted as I fell on the sand once again; well, it was clear by this point, this was going to take a while, but I was having lots of fun with it, probably too much fun.

But, as I said, it didn't matter, I was getting a kick out of this, the rush, the fear of falling, the adrenaline coursing through my body, was… it felt like riding a roller coaster, without a seat belt, a suicidal thought in my world, but here…. That was just your average Monday for some.

"Hahaha," I chuckled standing up, once again, "Let's try that again,"

Crowley eyed me with a defeated look as he flew to my backpack, taking out a coconut shell and putting it on his little head as a homemade helmet.

"Crowley for the love of… you know what, that's probably a smart move,"
