Picnic with friends

"Hey, Naruto, you are late," Shikamaru said as he looked at Naruto coming.

Naruto showed him the bag in his hand and said "I bought some extra meat on my way."

Ino replied, "Choji brought a lot with him." Everyone knows that Naruto doesn't have much money on him, so they prepared most of the things.

Naruto laughed and said, "he will eat most of the things he brought with him."

Choji pauses eating his cookies and smiles awkwardly. He rubs the back of his head as he can't deny what Naruto said.

Kiba and Ino laugh. Shikamaru only smiles. Sakura is fangirling with Sasuke. Hinata and Hanabi haven't come yet. Shin just stands silent, but Naruto can feel his mood is happy too.

Hinata also just came then with Hanabi. He already sensed them coming long ago.

Hanabi directly ran towards Naruto and said "handsome brother, thanks for inviting me." Naruto smiles and ruffles her hair and nods at the red-faced Hinata.

It's not a secret in the group anymore that Hinata has feelings for Naruto and Naruto also cares for her the most in the group.

Ino feels a little unpleasant because of this. She doesn't know why but she feels a little jealous of Hinata. Not like where she hates her because of her jealousy, but it's complicated for her.

Naruto looked at everyone and said let's start the picnic then. "Yeah!" Hanabi, Sakura, and Kiba replied loudly.

They went inside the forest. A few moments later they arrived in front of a waterfall and selected it for their camp.

"Shikamaru and Shino clean the area and lay the mat. Sasuke, Kiba and Choji bring wood for the fire. And girls can relax now but will help me with cleaning the food and cutting ingredients later." Naruto orders and gives everyone their role.

No one objected except Shikamaru but still, he did his job.

After a while, Sasuke and others return with enough wood. Sasuke is still with his cool face and drops the wood to the ground. He then jumps and sits on a tree branch.

He wouldn't have come if Naruto did threaten him saying he will drag him by his ear if he doesn't come.

Naruto take out a watermelon out of nowhere and said "let's play Suikawari"

(A/N: suikawari is a game where the player will wrap a piece of clothes around their eyes and then they will try to find the watermelon and hit it with a stick)

Shikamaru looked at Kiba and said "wouldn't it be easy for him? He can smell."

Naruto smirks and says, "I have a plan for it." Naruto then sprayed some gas on it and then sprayed all over the place and said "now he can't take advantage of his nose."

Akamaru's ears drop as he can't also now identify the smell difference.

Naruto looked at Hinata and Hanabi and said "no cheating too." Hinata nodded and Hanabi took out her tongue as she had the idea of cheating.

Naruto looked at Shino and said, "no bugs too." Shino only nodded his head.

Naruto then looks at everyone and asks "who will go first?" Shikamaru raids his hand which surprises everyone except Naruto.

He knows his true motive. Once he finished his turn he could just lay back and watch.

Naruto tries a cloth around his eyes so that he can't see. Then move him in circles a few times and let him go. They are Ninja, if he doesn't do that he can memorize the path.

An hour later the final victor came. Coincidentally it's Choji. Naruto asked him how he did that? Which he replied, "the food called me." This made everyone laugh again.

Naruto then looked at the girls and said "let's get ready to cook. Help me with washing and cleaning the ingredients."

Naruto took off his jacket and pulled up his sleeve and said "Yosh, let's cut the veggies first, Dattebayo."

He then starts showing his cutting skill to all the girls. They look at him admiringly as his cutting skill is flawless as if he has been doing this since birth.

"Shadow clone Jutsu." Naruto makes 5 clones of himself to help with the cooking. The quantity isn't small here.

Naruto lit a fire and started grilling the meat. On another side, he put some veggies on the grill and left some for another dish.

Choji, Ino, Sakura, Hinata and Hanabi stay at his side and observe him cooking.

Shikamaru and Shino lay on the grass beside the waterfall.

Sasuke leans back and looks at Naruto cooking and sometimes looks at the waterfall.

Kiba starts to play with his nin dog around the area.

Naruto cooks and sings songs.

No one knows where the music is coming from but they look at Naruto with mixed feelings as they hear the lyrics of the song.

Just as he finished the song the smell of the meat also started to come out.

Everyone comes out of their zone when Naruto stops singing. They feel melancholy and complicated but their mood instantly lights up when the smell hits their nostrils.

Naruto smiles seeing them returning to their normal mood. Hanabi didn't know anything, but she liked the song very much.

She looked at Naruto with starry eyes and said "handsome brother, you can sing so good?"

Naruto puffed his chest and said, "of course, I am a genius."

Shikamaru looked at Naruto's back and sighed. With his smart brain, he understands things more than others.

Hinata stand behind Naruto and thought 'I will follow you forever Naruto-kun'

After 30 minutes Naruto finished cooking. It takes so long because they have a foody with them. Naruto also uses his fire elementals to cook faster without changing the taste.

All the girls help Naruto to take the food. Everyone also comes together. Even the lazy Shikamaru and emo Sasuke are fast on their legs.

"Itadakimasu X10"

Without waiting or caring about manners they start eating. The smell was already making them drool and their stomach was also making noise.

"Oh my god, it's so tasty."

"Handsome brother, no matter how many times I eat, I can have enough of it."

"Choji, eat from your plate and dame it."

"Woof woof"

"Yeah I know, Akamaru."

"Naruto, you can cook so delicious food X2"

A few moments later, everyone stops when the food finishes. Choji still looks unsatisfied. Ino and Sakura pat their stomach which bulges a little.

Shino sits ideally without making much difference. Everyone would have forgotten his presence if he wasn't beside the second loudmouth Kiba.

Shikamaru already lay down with a satisfied smile.

After that Naruto brought out cards to play with the boys and the ladies made a group and chatted with each other.
