219 A small promise

"Hey Robin, I have a surprise for you," Tesla said to Robin who is reading the book very attentively. Robin raises her head and asks curiously "what is it?"

Tesla grabbed her hand and said, "let's go." He drags her towards the house that his clones are building. They transform into different people and act as a carpenter.

Robin looks at the house which is being built. It's the same as Bell-mere's house. Tesla took her towards a tree and said "put your hand on it."

Robin confusedly touched the tree. Next second some kind of energy went inside her and then come out. Robin didn't notice that.

Then suddenly her hand passed the tree. She was shocked and looked at Tesla. Tesla nodded and said, "go inside." Robin nodded excitedly and went inside the tree.

Tesla also followed her and went inside.

Robin's eyes widened when she looked in front of her. She comes to a Giant underground. The whole place is full of bookshelves and books.

She recognised many books at the front. Robin looked at Tesla astonishingly. She asked, "did you save all the books from the Island?"

Tesla nodded and said, "I didn't want the legacy of Ohara to vanish."

Robin smiled and said, "mom will be happy if she saw this." Robin hugged Tesla and said, "thank you."

Tesla patted her back and said, "you don't need to thank me."

Robin shakes her head and continues to hug her. Robin then said, "how did you make this place?"

Tesla smiled and said, "with my power." Robin looked at him and said, "you have so many different powers." Tesla nodded and ruffled her hair.

He has made this place Using Mito's help and her Fuinjutsu. The underground has strong protection and the security is made by Fuinjutsu.

Robin replied irritatingly, "I am not a kid, we are the same age."

"But I am older than you."

"Yeah, only a few minutes."

Tesla chuckled and said, "it doesn't matter how old, old is old."

Robin turns around and pouts. Tesla hugged her from behind and said "Okay Okay, I was joking."

Robin smiles victoriously. She then looks at all the books and her scholar Gene starts to act up.

Tesla shook his head. He then teaches her how to come and go out of this place. He also told her that this can be their hiding place if something ever happened. So he told her to keep it a secret.

Listening to Tesla about the secret hideout, Robin was excited. She is still a child. Though she is maturing faster in mentally, this type of thing still excites her.

After that, they left the underground and returned to the house.

Tesla went into the house and saw Olvia and Bell-Mere were still chatting.

Bell-Mere looks at Tesla and her eyes light up and ask "are you going to cook again?"

Tesla looked at her and said, "do you only miss my food?" Bell-Mere smiled awkwardly and laughed and said "no, I miss you too." She stood up and walked towards him and said "come aunt will kiss you."

She quickly appears beside him and kisses his cheek.

Suddenly she felt chill and looked back and saw Olvia looking at her smiling and asking "what do you think you are doing? Are you a pedo?"

Bell-Mere feels embarrassed as Olvia accuses her of Pedo. She replied, "come down, I didn't mean anything extra."

Robin asks "Mom, what is a pedo?"

"They are ugly monsters who go after little children," Olvia replied.

Tesla said, "then Aunt can't be a pedo, she is so beautiful." Robin also nodded and agreed with Tesla.

She looks at Tesla and both grin. Of course, they know what pedo is. They read about it.

Bell-Mere laughed and hugged Robin and said "see, Aunt can't be a pedo."

Tesla then went to the kitchen and started to prepare lunch. He decided to make octopus fried rice. He caught a good one today.

"The more I eat your cooked food, the more I want to eat," Bell-mere said

Olvia leaned back and said, "you must have a great innate ability for cooking."

Robin leaned back with her little bulk stomach. She can't talk anymore. She has eaten a lot.

Tesla stood up and said "mother, I will be out for some time. You can visit the house and check if you want to add anything."

Bell-Mere looked at Tesla and said, "I wish I had a son like you too."

"Miss beauty, I cook fried rice for you," Tesla said as he walked towards Rouge.

Rouge smiles and asks "won't your mother get angry if you come here every day."

Tesla shook his head and said "no, she won't. If she knows how beautiful you are, she will send me here every day."

Rouge smile and ask "are you flirting with me kiddo?"

Tesla nodded and said, "yeah, you are very beautiful."

Rouge giggles and says "hihihi, but you are late."

Tesla shook his head and said with determination "once your husband comes, I will challenge him and snatch you from him."

Rouge couldn't hold it anymore and laughed. Tesla smiles and walks towards her and gives her the plate full of fried rice.

The smell of the food passed her nose and she immediately felt hungry. She must say he cooks really well.

She tasted his food last night for the first time. He grilled a fish last night here. And that was the best fish she has ever eaten.

Today is the second day she met him, but it's like she has known him for a long time.

She takes the plate and eats without worry. She doesn't know why but she really feels relaxed around this child.

After finishing eating and drinking the tea Tesla brewed for her, she leaned back on the chair.

Tesla went behind her and said, "I will massage your shoulder, you will feel good."

Rouge smiled and nodded. She then continued their previous conversation and asked "what if you lose to my husband?"

Tesla started massaging her neck and shoulder and said "I am very strong and if I can't beat him on the first try then I will try again and again. I will surely defeat him."

Rouge chuckled and said, "but you are only a child, I don't want to marry a kid."

Tesla nodded and said "then I will eat more and grow faster"

Rouge smiles and shakes her head. She remembers the time with Roger. He also used to pursue her like this every day.

Even after she accepted he acted like a man so much in love. No one would believe at that time if she said he is Pirate King, Gol D. Roger.

Rouge falls asleep while thinking about the past. Tesla looks at Sleeping Rouge and smiles. No matter how many times he looks at her he admires her more and more.

She reminds him of Kushina and Maria. 'They are the same kind of special being' Tesla Thought and looked up at the sky.

He then lifts her slowly using Telekinesis and takes her inside the room.

He lay her on the bed. He removed her shoes and put on a blanket over her.

He touched her belly and sensed the child inside. He then said very quietly "don't worry little guy, I won't let anything happen to your mother nor I will let anything happen to you. Though I am a part-time Devil, I intend to keep my promise this time."
