Raoh entered the tent. In front of him was a long table, and on its head sat a short man with a chubby body, a half-bald head and a long white hair that was joined with a lock. This man was needless to introduce, as he was one of the most favourable characters in Avatar World.
In front of him were two empty teacups and a teapot.
"Please, sit down," he said in a calm voice while holding the pot.
Raoh sat down. "No sugar."
"So, I heard you love tea?" The old man asked as he started pouring.
Raoh nodded. Lemon Tea and coffee were his favourite drinks. He liked coffee more, but he doubted that there is any in this world.
"Who doesn't?" Raoh asked.
"Horrible people." Iroh smiled as he pushed the cup.
"Maybe they didn't try good ones."
"Oh please, my nephew thinks that all the tea is the same. It's the most horrible thing that anyone can hear."
Raoh almost chuckled when he sensed Zuko's reaction with his Observation Haki.
"Well, give him time, he'll grow up." Raoh took the tea and sipped. "Nice one…"
"So you have preferences…"
"Lemon Tea… some girl used to make it for me…" Raoh said with a long sigh. He knows that he is an independent part born from his previous self. It's hard to carry Josh's emotions with him. But well, a man can adapt.
"Don't be sad…" Iroh said.
"Uncle! Get to the point!" Zuko, who was guarding the tent, said.
"Always in hurry my nephew. You should know better than you have to know the river before drinking from it." Iroh said.
"Yeah, listen to your uncle," Raoh commented.
"What was that supposed to mean!" Zuko said in frustration. Raoh noticed that his character isn't so much different from the canon, the debut. Zuko is always in haste when it comes to the Avatar.
"Glad someone has noticed the wisdom," Iroh said.
"Yes…" Raoh nodded. "But your nephew has a point. Okay, I'll say it…" Raoh let his head closer to the table after he put the cup down.
Iroh opened his ears.
"The Avatar is in the South Pole, frozen, under the Ice. He had escaped a hundred years ago after the selection and was caught in the middle of the storm. In order to protect himself, he froze himself.
"If you want for your conquest to success, call that guy," Raoh said.
Aang, in the Avatar state, can defeat a whole Fire Nation fleet on his own.
Iroh looked at Raoh, eyes wide open. "And how did you know that… You look 18-19 years old."
"I'm around 35," Raoh said.
"For real!" Iroh almost didn't believe him.
"35 days old." Raoh was honest here.
Iroh laughed. He then turned serious. "And how do you expect me to believe you."
"Will you believe me if I say that I have a special talent? I have seen a vision, and my fate threw me to the mines of the slaves."
"Fate…" Iroh lowered his head. "Do you think it's your fate to deliver this information?"
"I know I'm making it my fate."
"But how to prove that you have this talent."
"Okay. Listen. Do you have a coin or something?"
"Yep."
"Take it out."
Iroh did as he was told and took a coin from his pocket.
Raoh pointed in one direction. "Throw it in this direction, and someone will fall and push your nephew."
Iroh, without a second of hesitation, did it and threw the coin out of the tent.
They heard the voice of a rock falling, followed by a man who screamed in pain and started running.
"Watch out!" Zuko turned his head, a guard collided with him, and the prince fell inside the tent.
Zuko lifted his head, staring at his uncle who was staring at him in disbelief. "What's with your eyes?"
Iroh turned to Raoh. He smiled, so calm. "I think we got good news today. Zuko, it seems that the Fire Nation will retain its honour very soon."
Zuko stood up, furrowed his eyebrows, and said. "I will retain my honour by my own hands. Training all of these years, and realising that my father is a messed up man with no honour, I will make it my fate to retain my nation's honour!"
After saying that, Zuko left the tent in a bad mood.
"Pardon him. Zuko had suffered all of his life." Iroh sighed.
"I'm interested in hearing the development."
"Well, it's a long story. Let's leave it for another time. What we have in hand is more important to discuss."
"I thought you weren't hasty like your nephew."
"I'm not. But one must place his rocks right if he wanted to make a pyramid." Iroh said. What he really meant was that one should have his priorities in order. To make a pyramid, one must place the largest rocks down and the smallest up.
"I get you." Raoh nodded. "So, how will this be going?"
"If what you are saying is true, I'll take a unit and head to the South Pole," Iroh said. "But the issue would still be that the Avatar need to learn the elements. During his journey, my brother will send his forces to stop him. Things will be rougher. Not to mention that the South Pole is barely able to resist the few forces of the Fire Nation. If not for the North Pole, the South would have fallen a long time ago."
"Hmm…" Raoh lowered his head, took the Jasmine tea, and started sipping.
Iroh had a point and he had revealed something important.
The Avatar will cause many troubles for himself in his journey to learn the elements.
Also, there seem to be some forces of the Fire Nation at the South Pole. And they can stop the White Lotus from finding the Avatar. Not to mention, unlike Raoh, they don't have Observation Haki to help find the Avatar quickly, and neither do they have enough sneaking skills.
Raoh thought for a bit.
He guessed he may have to work for more.
'Does it worth the effort… well, let's try.'
If he goes to the South Pole with masters of the elements, the problem will be solved.
"Well, I have a solution." Raoh lay on the chair. He pushed the teacup and said. "But first, pour me more."
"You have?" Iroh seemed to be curious.
"Let's just take masters with us. As for awakening the Avatar, I can do it myself. I'm so good at assassination… and…"
"Ripping the ice." Iroh continued in his stead.
"Yep," Raoh smirked. "But I need a few things first…"
