Surrounded and the passage of time

I had people on all sides of me, it seems they wished to take me out. However it seems they didn't actually want me.

"You said this guy had a pet with him, I don't see it. We haven't seen anything to eat for the past two weeks!"

The mention of a week shocked me. It was only like 3 days since we got off the ship. I mostly have been eating Jerky and Jennamite. So the struggle of food didn't really occur to me, so the fact they wanted to eat Lime was kind of a dick move.

"It doesn't matter just attack him!"

It was only 7 people so I could easy beat them, however I wanted to know if that guy was joking about not eating for two weeks. Not that I think about it I was a little peckish. I dodged a fire blast and punched the guy in the nose and he went flying backwards.

"How is so fast?"

Fast, that was relatively slow...

"He must have food on him or he ate that Bull Sloth. Either way be careful, while we have been starving this guy has clearly a method to get food."

Now that I looked at them, they were starved. "Why are you guys so...anorexic?"

Another sent a fireball my way, but I just blocked it with one of my own. I dodged a few more fire balls until one charged at me with a sword. I tripped him and pushed him to the ground. The guy was a light. They really were starving, how the hell were they starving?

"Don't mock us you bastard! There is nothing on this god forsaken island. I bet the ones who left us here expected us to eat each other!"

That was dark, I guess I should just leave these guys and find Lime. If these guys were starving I wanted to find Lime and make sure no one actually tried to eat him.

I took a step forward crushing something under my feet. I looked down to see bones, they were some kind of rodent.

"Huh?"

"Don't ignore us you lively BASTARD!"

The guy who seemed to say bastard a lot charged for me with two fire balls in his hands. However he slipped on one of the bones and cracked his skull on the way down. The circumstance I found myself in made me just feel bad. I clapped my hands and sent a wave of fire in all directions. I was gonna follow it up, but they were all just blown away from the wave.

"This is just pathetic..." I pointed to one, "Hey you how long has it been since we were left on this island."

"Its been nearly a month, please we are starving. We can't find any animals to eat, please just spare us something!"

I grabbed my bag, pulling out the rest of my jerky. "Have at it, though I doubt it will feed all y'all." It seemed my time in the spirit world was longer than I thought possible. A month in the spirit world? That seemed crazy why wasn't I starving, I still felt great. I didn't even lose any muscle, I wondered how I essentially fasted for a month without any side effects.

Starvation was an awful way to die, but the guys I left the jerk to seeming ripped each other apart for the bag of jerky. It was whatever to me I needed to find Lime. I started whistling, trying to actually attract some attention. I thought maybe it would get Lime's attention and lead him back to me. While I walked I took out the Jennamite I had and crunched on the parts that started to grow. The Sugar Rock tasted pretty good, however I would eventually need some greens in my diet.

"Wooohooot!"

A sound came from the forest and I instantly readied for an attack. However a nearly 6 ft Bull Sloth barreled through the trees. Lime pulled me into a fluffy hug and lifted me off the ground. I checked his stats and they exploded over night. Or I guess over the month. he even had a new stat that I had no idea how it was quantified.

The Reputation stat was glowing and seemed to jiggle length wise like running your finger down a piano. Lime had grown a lot while I was in the spirit state, I guess the growth he had gained in our relationship was due to worry. Thinking about the rodent bones that were littered around where I was on the shell. It was likely from Lime, i assume he caught and ate some rabbits or rabbit-hybrid creatures.

It was cute however that he was so worried for me. Though Lime had grown up and I needed him to let me go. "Lime, please let me go. I am fine as you can see."

Lime had dropped me and sat down, "Moowhoo."

Lime, seemed to be smart than before, I nodded and continued on. "Come on Lime, I am a bit hungry after staying still for so long. How about we find something to eat."

Lime practically jumped up and lifted me on his shoulders. It was awkward, but if he grows bigger I could get a saddle made or something. I was dragged along through the forest on Lime's back. It seemed he knew where to go to find some food. I hoped it was was something tasty, I was a bit unsure about what Bull Sloth's ate.
