Avatar: Lion Turtles Champion

Four lion turtles spoke in his mind. In this turn of events the lion turtle couldn't pass on energy bending to aang. The Spirit Vaatu who was supposed to be the sealed away was free and Raava was sealed. Everything was strange and apparently the chaotic Vaatu was helping the avatar incarnations maintain balance.

A competition end

---btw more chapters incoming... I did say most chapters now would be mass releases. Saw some comments that seem to indicate otherwise. So just making sure, Mass releases though are still a little sporadic due to internet problems. Entirely my own fault mind you, I would like to due it all in one day or something, but it storms where I live so I have to do it like this. its all good though...Oh and the last previous previous chapter was released without a mass release to explain that...----

I hadn't really expect after beating Feng Tai everyone else would just give up when they were announced to fight me. It made no sense to me, Feng literally killed someone and people just avoid him. Except when I win my fight against him everyone just gives up?

"I think I can tell what your thinking Orin."

"What's that?"

Hio preformed a terrible copy of my voice and pretty much got my thoughts spot on. "Why is everyone passing me? I mean after winning by literally breaking a person's skull I can't see why they would give up?" Hio dropped his copy of my accent and continued. "I mean its not like the guy who you fought was already feared right? Not to mention you looked...Nasty during that part."

"I was just thinking."

Hio looked at me with disbelief, "What would make you look like that?"

"Just a uhhh possible problem for my long term goals. I have my doubts it will happen though. Except it has put more work on my plate since I have to play a little observation duty."

"I see..." Alexia walked up to us after finishing her fight. She was getting more tired it seemed she was sweating a lot and had mostly been running all day. She had lost her last match unfortunately while Hio was paired with me again. Which led to a lose for him because he just forfeited. The crowd was really not happy about that one and most seemed to want to see more lightning bending. Even the announcer had apparently commented on it during my fight with Feng Tai.

Ultimately though it wasn't anything special, after all there wasn't many serious fights for me. Since I wouldn't really fight the avatar from here on out I expect mostly smooth sailing as I just pump up my abilities to the max.

Though I had to wonder if I would fight others? Most major fights were related to the fire nation. I guess my major fights would then be in the opposite then? Laying siege to the north pole sounded pretty fun...

"You ever just realize how long it takes for Orin to think about things."

"Yeah his face scrunches up and he squints slightly." The two of them were staring at me uncomfortably. "Its not that long..."

"Well its like a good second or two. Oh umm, Speaking of aren't you like wary of retaliation?"

"Huh?" I looked at Hio. "What do you mean?"

"I mean from Feng Tai, he killed his very first opponent, also He didn't seem to like you very much."

"What do you mean everybody likes me? Also there is a few reason why I'm not worried. Number 1 being that honestly I don't care. I mean maybe I could've killed him, but its better to have enemies collect and stomp them out at once. By leaving him be I can not only track possible enemies, but i could also learn of allies. Then on top of that something about him seems off to me, I still have no idea what in the world it is. Could be a few things though like maybe he is some soap opera villain and he is actually my lost brother? Maybe he some weird time-traveler. Point is there I have questions unanswered, and I don't know about you. But I however don't answer the questions of my enemies. I tend to gaslight them, so by humiliating him and then using him to show off. He is bound to comeback and try something, when that happens...well you get the idea from there."

Alexia and Hio stared at me in disbelief. "You thought that out?" I shrugged, "They say you become stronger by learning from your mistakes, but if you are already perfect...You might as well learn from other peoples mistakes."

"That's a little narcissistic." I could only shrugged again, I was gonna answer, but Hio answered for me. "True perfection is not achieved without failures. If Orin calls himself perfect he likely has a reason." Alexia's eyes sparkled at Hio after his someone what cheesy words. I nodded along however because it made me feel special...

"So anyway, now what?"

"No idea. I mean there isn't gonna be rewards or anything. I was told we would simply be organized into groups. The top five would be kept by Azula and the others would..."

"Likely be transferred I doubt they were ever actually gonna kill us. At least those who made it off the island that is. Better to just sack us and train us into secret soldiers, I read that the previous fire lords did something similar. I assume those who don't get publicly appointed to Azula will be trained in secret for her time to ascend to the throne." Hio was right, though it was a little early for that which meant Ozai likely planned his whole phoenix king early before he even had plans to finish the war.

"Damn, so we just have to wait here? this is gonna give me anxiety."

"To give you more anxiety the whole competition thing was like a small bit of set up for the aristocratic families and generals to have some entertainment."

Alexia frowned. "Why are you like this?" I just smiled in response.
