Prologue Pt.3

Kai pushed hard south all night. The engines of the warship worked overtime with the Fire Nation hot on their trail. Kai managed the crew as best he could but due to the fast exit from the Fire Nation. Food was running low and the kids were starting to become irritable.

In the war room, Kai and the officers stood around a map of the world. Kai had no idea where he wanted to go, so, he gave each officer a small warship. "Place the warship where you believe, we should settle," he told them.

The officers took a moment and then began to place pieces on different areas of the earth kingdom.

"Okay," said Kai. "How many of you want to take your family and hide and how many of you want to fight?"

The officers began to get fidgety. "It's fine. This war is mine and you do not have to join me." Said Kai.

"They will do as they ordered by Admiral Jeong Jeong. You are his grandson, so we take our orders from you. But we have to find your grandfather, After losing that warship on our tail and find a secure place to settle. So do you have a plan to lose that ship?" The master chief asked.

Kai thought for a moment and then looked at their location on the map. "Here." he pointed at the southern air nomad territories.

"We lose them in there. The islands will slow us down, but it will also slow them down. But here's the thing. We control the chase because we're in the lead. When we get close to the islands. Be ready to let the families of. A small team goes to protect them and make sure they hide well… We'll take the ship further down and leave it unmanned. When the Fire Nation overtakes the ship. We ambush them from behind."

"And how will we ambush them, Little Jeong?" an officer asked.

"From the water. We'll hide in the water and they start the boarding process, That's when climbing onto their ship and attack." Kai explained.

"All of their firebenders will be on the deck at that time."

"That's why I will be the first one on the deck with our best firebenders. We can do this." Kai assured them.

The officers and the master chief had to admit that the plan was crafty and damn near suicidal. "Just like your grandfather." The master Chief spoke with pride. And the rest of the officers smiled.

"Inform the helmsman of our change of course. I want us at full speed. Start dropping buckets in the ocean so we can cool those engines. Don't forget to warm the water first." Kai order and the Officer proceeded to leave the war room.

One hour after sunrise. Kai and his crew made it to the Southern Air nomad territory. About 10 minutes in, the ship stopped and the families ran off the ship lead by a small team of soldiers. When the ship started moving again. Kai pushes hard to get deeper into the territory. Though they had to stop when the lookout told them that fire nation had entered the territory.

"Alright! Kill the ship, grab your gear, and get your asses in the water! Now!" Kai ordered and everyone lept off the edge of the ship. All except the Master Chief and another snowy-haired officer.

"Go on Little Jeong. If you do your job right. We'll make it. But somebody has to stay and draw them over." Said the Master Chief.

The snowy-haired Officer than pulled a white cloth out of his armor.

"I see. Don't worry. I won't let you die, Long Wei." Kai then jumped into the water cold ocean water.

About 15 minutes of waiting. The Fire Nation of Arrived and Master Chief Long Wei waved the white flag. A man that commanded respect from every soldier and sailor in the Fire Nation.

The enemy ship stopped and a loud voice boomed. "Master Chief Long Wei! This is Commander Xiang Yu!"

The Master Chief's face went hard and the officer behind him looked worried.

"We have surrendered. And I'm sure the Fire Lord would like to personally execute, Kai Jeong. Don't let personal feelings ruin your life, as I have allowed it to ruin mine." Long Wei shouted.

Commander Xiang gritted his teeth, "Bord them, and if someone twitches, you kill them."

The Fire Nation soldier nodded and the boarding process began. The moment Kai heard the loud bang of the metal bridge connecting the two ships, He and his men began to climb the enemy ship. They took it slow and easy.

Commander Xiang and a squad of men walked over to Kai's ship. Commander Xiang signaled to his men to search the ship as he talked to Long Wei.

"You and your men should have died the day Jeong Jeong deserted. And the boy should have been executed the day he defiled the princess!" Xiang barked.

"Do you honestly believe, The boy mentored by Fire Lord Azulon, Fiancee of the Princess for years, suddenly assaulted her? That he breached the place and snuck into her chambers and all he got as punishment was banishment? You are not a fool and the Fire Lord Ozai is not that merciful." Long Wei replied.

"If the Fire Lord told us that he shits earth Kingdom gold pieces, Then I would believe that MY Fire Lord shits Earth Kingdom gold pieces! That! Is loyalty! Long Wei." Xiang shouted.

Long Wei sighed. But his feet began to heat the deck. Behind Commander Xiang, Long Wei could see Kai climb about the enemy ship. As Commander Xiang lept back prepared to engage Long Wei. A soldier arrived on the deck and shouted, "Sir, the ship is empty!"

Boom!

Kai and four soldiers performed a basic unit technique, taking out a few soldiers and making space for the rest of his men to board.

" Forms 7 to 10!" Kai order.

Kai then led his mean through a series punches that launched fireballs before they all lept into the air and came down with ax kicks that conjured torrents of razor-like fire slices.

"Clear the ship!" Kai shouted

His men broke ranks and battled with great ferocity. Unlike the enemies. Kai's men had family they had to protect.

On the other ship. Master Chief Long Wei battled commander Xiang. Long Wei used a technique that strongly resembles taekwondo.

Long Wei delivered four rapid strikes before his left caught Xiang in the side, scorching his uniform. When Xiang stumbled to the right. He cried out in pain as he stepped on red hot metal.

Long Wei took another stance and the deck beneath him increased in temperature. "Careful Xiang, I'm Long Wei of the Scorching Step for a reason," said Long Wei.

As Kai cleared the enemy ship, he sent his men to help Long Wei and the officer against Xiang and his men. The battle was nearly over. That is until Kai heard the engines of another ship approaching.
