As they disentangled from the embrace, both exchanged greetings characteristic of the Red Lotus members.

Gale and Zaheer had met a year ago when the latter made his first visit to the grove. Initially, trust between them was scarce. However, they quickly realized they shared affiliation with the same organization.

And both harbored an equal sense of aversion towards Unalaq.

"How are the plans going, Gale? Tell me." Zaheer spoke as he settled near a tree.

Gale followed suit, choosing a nearby tree to sit beside.

"Just a few setbacks, but I will still secure my place on the Republic Council." Gale said solemnly, closing his eyes to feel the gentle breeze of the grove.

Upon hearing his friend's response, Zaheer sighed, knowing everything was progressing as planned.

Soon, a serene silence enveloped the surroundings as both remained in lotus positions, absorbing the spiritual energy around them. That's how they communicated. What brought them so close was the practice of meditation.

Soon, a silhouette appeared on the horizon of the grove.

"Can I join you? How about a game of Pai Sho?" said the approaching person.

Gale and Zaheer nodded in agreement, smiling as they recognized the voice.

"Come, Iroh, join us," Gale invited while maintaining the meditation.
