1 Chapter 001: Perfection

Money: the root of all evil.

Many people live only for money and power, as I do.

Without money, what are we?

What can we become?

what can we do?

We are lost and drift slowly into this infinite loop, and we cannot escape.

So what can we do?

Make money, and use power to become absolute. That's what we can do.

I have always been obsessed with the money. The first time I touched a dollar bill, I could not get enough.

I remember the sooth sensation of that paper currency.

My name is, Ken Moreno.

I'm 17 and currently a high school student. I have a lean body, smooth skin, and light brown silk-like hair. I hate everybody in my class; they have no goals, no admiration, and all they do is run around gossiping all day like animals.

My only goals are money and power, and if anybody stands in the way of that goal. They will die.

I have never killed someone before, but to protect my dream, I will do what I must.

The school day was finally over, and before I could make it out of the gate, one of those rabid animals talked to me.

"Hey, Ken!" He shouted at me.

"What is it, Lucas." I said. "Me and some friends of mine are going out to eat tonight, and we were wondering if you were interested?" He asked me.

As much as I wanted to say, no, I did not refuse. "Sure, why not." I replied.

"Great, come to this place at 12:00 we'll be there." He would hand be a slip of paper, which held the address that we would hang out at tonight. "I'll be there." I said, As he walked off.

Lucas, the handsome, rich guy, that all the girls are after at my school. a tall figure, sharp jawline, and dark hair. He had it all, you could say. Am I envious? maybe even jealous? What could possibly be the answer to this question?

I'm a hypocrite, I talk down on things that others do; even though deep down, I do them as well.

Maybe it is because I hate to be lumped with these animals, or do I feel superior to them somehow?

I could not find an answer to this question.

I would soon arrive at my home, where my mother, little brother, little sister, and I lived.

It was not a big house, nor was it small. We are only short of one bedroom, so I and my little brother must share a room together.

I hated it at first and still do.

He trashes his space and my space; he yells and laughs all day at everything. But that is why I love him.

I try to stay neat, clean, and perfect. However, even I know I am not perfect in every way. Is this done to vent my feelings? To make myself feel better about this soulless world that we call earth.

No, this is only my memoir to remind myself of who I am, who I shall be, and who I will become.

I would close my notebook, hiding it under my bed in a box, keeping it locked.

I would proceed to stand up and get ready for this "Hangout" with some so-called friends of mine.

Putting light blue jeans and a normal white t-shirt together, I hated this look. However, this was one of the only things I had to wear.

Soon, I would have all of the desired clothing I once wanted. But that is for another time, I must keep that dream, no goal, at the back of my mind for now.

I would head to the room door to leave, but was stopped by my brother.

"Ken? where are you headed to?" he asked. "Nowhere, just with some friends, now go back to sleep." I replied while my back turned to him.

"Okay.." He muttered before fading back into deep sleep.

Stopped by yet another person before leaving, my mother.

Oh, my lovely mother, tall, slim, and beautiful. Her dark hair matched with her dark eyes.

Apparently, I got my father's look. My father was a very handsome man, my mother used to tell me.

She would go on and on about him, in her romantic past. I loved hearing about my father; I always wanted to meet him as I was now. I do not remember much of my father; he died of lung cancer when I was only a toddler. So, I cannot remember much of him.

"Where are you headed at this time of the night ken?" She asked me. "Nowhere mom, just with some friends." I said to her. "Oh, well don't come back so late, and be careful, okay?" She implied. "Ok mother, I will." I said.

I would wave bye to her before heading out the door.

I would walk to this small night club that no one really knew. I would walk inside and be greeted by Lucas and his friends. I'd look around me, seeing people laughing, dancing, and having a good time.

'Who even goes to night club nowadays?' I thought.

I would sigh and sit down with Lucas and others. I would proceed to slouch down in this booth, while they would all start to laugh and talk to each other while I stayed silent.

One of them would obviously notice me and decide to strike up a conversation. "Hey, Ken!" This girl shouted.

Her name is Rosa, the queen bee of the school. She was a bully, and obviously a wh*re. She sleeps with young and old men to earn money. I don't like her, not a bit. She tried to bully me once, but I didn't pay her any mind, as I did not have time for such childish acts. She got mad because I didn't care; she then got people to jump me, but I then proceeded to win the fight.

I'm also a black belt in many martial arts, so it was inevitable that I would win.

"What?.." I replied to her. "Why are you being so rude?..Ugh Lucas tell your friend to lighten up a bit..asshole," She muttered. "Guys, lets just all calm down and enjoy ourselves yeah!" Lucas said to her.

The music continued to become louder after he said that. "I think i'm gonna head home for the night, yeah guys?" I said to them. "Sure man, stay safe." Lucas said to me. "Whatever." Rosa said. "Goodnight!' The rest of his friends repeated after each other.

My walk home was nothing but lonely. It was cold, but I liked the breeze that the wind made, and the way it hit my warm skin and lifted my hair up to the side.

As you would expect, I ran into wannabe thugs on the streets.

"Hey, kid you lost?" I could smell his alcohol breath from here. "No, I'm just headed home for the night." I said to the man. "Well, you wouldn't mind giving me some cash, right?" He said. "Actually, I would."

A knee would be sent to the man's face, knocking him off his little chair he was sitting on.

I would then kick the other man standing next to him in the neck, making him gasp for air.

They were out for the count; I would put my hands in my pockets and walk away.

Arriving home, I would throw my clothes off and head to take a shower.

Inside the shower, hot water hit my skin.

This soothing sensation came over me, as I stood there, taking it in.

I would finish by moisturizing my face and putting my night clothes on. I would walk into my room and lay down on my not-so-soft, but comfortable bed.

I slowly dozed off and soon fell asleep.
