0091 - Trial Failed or Passed?
Wei Tian remained oblivious, completely focused on sealing the rift which shimmered on the verge of collapse. A dark, round shadow abruptly engulfed the little monk. The rusty ashen cane of the dark creature raised high, ready to strike and silence the chanting. A sinister smile stretched across the creature's face as it swung the cane for the final blow.
Suddenly, the heavily wounded giant ape, Shou Zhi, who had been lying unconscious, sprang into action with a fierce growl. With a surprising burst of energy, his massive hand shot out, grabbing the dark, fat creature in a tight grip, stopping it mid-swing before it could harm Wei Tian.
Caiyi Yanzhi, shocked and horrified, watched as the creature hovered over Wei Tian, unaware of the danger. Shou Zhi's intervention snapped her out of her daze. Fueled by hope, she rushed forward, determined to help protect Wei Tian.
