Author Of The Apocalypse

Granted with an 'Author' exclusive skill and knowledge about this new world, I want to live a life of peace, the dream every protagonist has. I have no idea if this dream would ever come true. All I know is that this is my world and I am the one responsible for both its creation and its destruction... *** Chapter length: 1.6k+ words every chapter. I have done a lot of research on various beasts and powers before writing this novel. You will definitely enjoy reading this xD Note: The cover is original and not stolen.

An End And A Beginning(2)

"Why is this place empty? It's the city center." Vin frowned.

The inside of Valencia Hall was completely devoid of anything. We entered a tiny room devoid of any humans or furniture.

The next room we entered showed us the same empty space.

'Blue.'

< On it. >

|| In order to create more space for the scenario to take place, the Entertainers emptied both the safe zones. They also restructured the building to provide more area for the scenario to take place.

Since multiple Entertainers managed this scenario, they managed to do this with the snap of their fingers. ||

'Yeah, that much is enough I think. I don't want to hear about my cringe descriptions regarding the Entertainers powers.'

It made sense for the Entertainers to modify the building for the scenario. I knew this beforehand but I didn't expect the building to be devoid of anything.

As for the people, they must be present in the big hall closer to the front side of Valencia Hall.

"Numerous Entertainers will control this scenario. I don't remember who was put in charge of this area."

From there onwards, multiple Entertainers looked over the scenarios and one slightly higher level Entertainer was responsible for managing the other Entertainers. I never specified which Entertainer was responsible for monitoring the city center.

Since the story revolved around Ray, most of the descriptions talked about XYZ University, the other safe zone.

I couldn't use most of my knowledge until another 2 scenarios passed away.

'Still, I have enough knowledge of this place.'

At last, Vin and I appeared at the final door we needed to cross to reach the main hall where the rest of the survivors were present.

"Vin, what do you remember about this portion of the novel?"

"The author didn't mention much about the city center during the second scenario. I don't think it was mentioned at all."

"No, it was mentioned in the story." I clenched my fist behind my back.

"Huh?" Vin looked at me in confusion.

"Valencia Hall is mentioned in the novel. The author mentioned it indirectly during a later scenario. It was described hundreds of chapters later so the readers forgot about it."

I knew it very well. I described Valencia Hall during the flashback scenes of a particular character. It was shown in their back story and played a major role in shaping the said character's future.

This was another reason I decided to come to Valencia Hall. A particular event dragged me to Valencia Hall.

"I will explain later."

"You always say that and forget."

"Old habits die hard." I smiled. Forgetting what you wrote in the past was something every author struggled with. That's how plot holes emerged.

A system window appeared the moment I put my hands on the door leading to the main hall.

[ You are entering the scenario waiting zone. You/Your party will be transported to an independent room. You can't interact with survivors until the second scenario starts. ]

Expected. The entertainers didn't want alliances to emerge before the beginning of the scenario. Things became less interesting.

"Vin, place your hand on the door beside mine."

"We forming an official party with this?"

"You can say that."

I was glad Vin read my novel. Having an ally like her who didn't need much explanation was nice.

[ You have entered the room with a party. ]

My body turned into particles of light before vanishing. The next moment, I appeared inside a normal-sized living room.

A sofa stood. in the center of the room and a neatly polished wooden floor shone below my feet. The rest of the room lacked any decoration.

This room was known as the 'Waiting Chamber'. A pretty simple name.

[ Time passes at thrice the speed here. ]

[ Time remaining till the end of 1st scenario: 8 hours ]

"This is going to be boring," Vin muttered and settled on the sofa.

"Use this time to sharpen your skills. Mana won't deplete inside this room so you can work on your control." I suggested.

"Wow. I read the novel too but I don't remember all of its details. How do you know all this?"

"I am just a reader." I smiled. As I said, I would never tell anyone I was the author. This secret stayed with me.

"Sounds like I just a girl trend."

"Consider it whatever you want. I just know the novel by heart."

"You know what by heart?"

A curious voice entered my ears, spreading tingling sensations throughout my body. I knew who that unfamiliar voice belonged to.

An Entertainer paid us a visit.

"You are more interesting than I thought."

Blue sparks flew around the center of the room, revealing a portal made from swirling mist.

"Nice to meet you again, Michael and Vin."

[ 'Otherworldly Infatuation(Max)' has been used. ]

[ You nullify this skill completely. ]

+

Huh, that was weird. I knew that the Ahuizotls [Enchanted Call] didn't affect me but [Otherworldly Infatuation] didn't work either.

It was one of the highest charming skills that could charm even the coldest of people. Only a mental barrier skill of a similar level had the power to block its effect.

'Blue?'

I immediately thought of the blue-haired boy connected with me. Perhaps he prevented such skills from working on me.

< Blue refrains from speaking. >

Sigh…

From the portal, an otherworldly beauty stepped out. Her silky brown hair were left open and fell at her face. With her milky white complexion, she seemed like a fairy.

This felt like a cliche description. I am tired of using this but that's how I described characters in the original novel.

The otherworldly beauty looked younger than me. I knew that was an illusion considering how her smile contained a lot of mischief. Cringe description for sure.

I wanted to ask her name but I knew who she was the moment I looked into her eyes. Bright pink crystal-like eyes stared directly at my face, trying to figure me out.

Till now, I had only met one person with the same eyes.

"BangKok?" I murmured in a dazed tone.

"No, that's a temporary stage name I was randomly given. The scenario streaming began earlier than expected which caught me off guard. I randomly applied the basic Earth skin and got that name." BangKok, who was now an otherworldly beauty explained.

This was the reason I wasn't sure about BangKok's gender. All the Entertainers received something called skins.

These skins allowed them to look and talk like the creatures of the planet they visited. It made communication smooth but only a few base versions of the skin were present.

Each Entertainer would be assigned one at random and they used the skin for the first scenario. Once the first scenario concluded, the Entertainers showed their real self.

"I am Inari, a kitsune. My myths are present on this Earth." Inari smiled.

That's when I noticed the two fox ears protruding from Inari's head. They seemed to blend in with her hair, occasionally standing out when they stood straight. I knew she also had a tail hidden from our view.

Kitsune. All Entertainers belonged to the Kitsune race and they lived in a separate realm. They owned Entertainer Inc. and were responsible for maintaining the scenarios all over the universe.

Kitsunes were the only race that the rulers of the Supreme Planet couldn't fight. The fox-like creatures were a race that worshiped the golden scroll.

They didn't care about anyone and wanted to ensure that the scenarios proceeded smoothly. They used the power of the Golden Scroll to regulate everything and even numerous beings from the Supreme Planet feared them.

I, obviously, didn't fear them. Every being had a weakness and I just so happened to know the weakness of every creature in this universe.

< Blue is laughing at Michael's delusion. Blue wishes Michael to stop making such jokes.>

You little…

I decided to counter Blue later on. Right now, handling Inari was more important.

"Why is an Entertainer coming to visit us personally?" I questioned. "Also, please speak normally. Don't apply that charm voice filter."

Along with [Otherworldly Infatuation], Inari also used a charm filter. Both of these combined allowed Inari to bewitch anyone she wanted. She could command any person bewitched by her to do anything she wanted.

Inari blinked in surprise before smiling.

"So it didn't work on you. Do you have a good supporter or perhaps a high level skill?"

"Why don't you check it for yourself."

[ Entertainer Inari has used the authority of the Golden Scroll to check your data. ]

Using the authority of the Golden Scroll was a skill exclusive to the creators of the Golden Scroll as well as the people of the Kitsune race. Using this authority, they could view the status of every person registered in the Golden Scroll.

Very few abilities prevented this from happening.

A smile appeared on my face. I already knew what was going to happen.
