Author : Mortals against gods

Have you ever questioned your existence? maybe we are just characters in a story or frankly just a spark between worlds of fiction. His question had reached an abrupt end, and his morale filled with dents of revenge. He only thought of one thing, and I suppose I would serve it as a question. What if you had to go against the plot? What if you had to battle the creator of your world for peace?. There are many more to it, but I promise. This story answers it all.

An unreal power, Nova.

Thud! Cough, cough!

A dusty scroll is thrown on the round table, grasping the attention of the two ladies. Yakuza and Yahama look across in an attempt to touch the scroll but are intruded by Loki.

"Don't touch it, measly pests! " Loki growls.

The two ladies retreat to the couch and lay down, their focus unwavering on the old relic.

" This is none like what we have seen so far. It is said in the history books that the Egyptians were the second to bring about civilization after Mesopotamia, however even its foundations had a backbone of energy. "

"Nova, an ancient power which was later banned by Menes, the first ruler of Egypt. He burned down all the ancient scrolls and tombs of higher artisans. All because he could not wield Nova"

" In just 25 years, his firm rule over Egypt had ended. The peasants and high-class officials had to follow the high order, so none practiced wielding Nova"

" All except one household, the house of Kali. They strive to protect the last scroll of Nova, hoping to pass its teachings to one who would spark the flame of rebellion."

" It was lost after a few centuries and was finally buried within the sands of Gaza. Our sources later found them, after my family had searched for generations. "

"Father, your son has finally retrieved the lost scroll. I am Amon Kali, the first of many. It is finally in my grasp. The power of Nova!!!

Yakuza smiles as she walks over to Loki and touches him lustfully. She advances with her hand hovering around his body, but Loki steps aside with a strict glare.

" Do not play with forces you don't understand. I prefer you being alive rather than headless."

Yakuza steps back onto the couch with her mini skirt and a blouse, biting her lips out of frustration.

Loki then reads the dialect of the scroll in old Coptic outside the resort. He releases his tensed shoulders and calms his nerves, with his focus as sharp as a sword.

" The wind is the first step into grasping energy. The body is a tool, and the soul a prison. Only by trusting nature, shall Nova relieve torture."

Loki shakes his head and closes the scroll. Breathes in deep and opens it broadly in search of more.

" That's it??? You pass on information for generations and just say three sentences??? What is wrong with you guys!!" Loki shouts into the air frustrated.

He kicks the scroll away in anger and strolls off into the resort. Yahama confronts him to calm him down as she hugs and kisses his neck.

" Maybe there's more to it than you saw. I think you should recheck it once more Loki.", Yahama responds softly.

" Recheck it?? I wasted 25 years of my life looking for that scroll. My older generations wasted their lifetime searching for it, and you tell me to calm down??"

Yakuza walks behind him with a dagger and cuts his neck minutely, licking the blood from the dagger afterward.

" Only a fool would give up without trying once more. You have come this far looking for power, but stop at the door? How stupid can you be? Unless", Yakaza whispers.

Loki's thoughts intertwine, creating a gateway of ideas in his mind. He runs back to the scroll and opens it, as he reads diligently once more.

"The wind is the first step into grasping energy. The body is a tool, and the soul a prison. Only by trusting nature, shall Nova relieve torture."

"The wind is the first step! Why didn't I think of this before? Huff "

Loki breathes out calmly, feeling the breeze passing through his fingers. He reminds himself of the next step.

"The body is a tool, and the soul a prison. "

*The soul belongs to me, and Nova is the energy. Nova lives within my soul, bottled up like a can of milk.*

" Only by trusting nature, shall Nova relieve torture"

* If my body is the tool for controlling it, I should be able to do it by now. This doesn't make any sense, I can't feel it. Wait *

*Torture doesn't have to be an active infliction of physical pain. It can be from the exercises of one's mind, also known as emotional torture. I just have to trust nature, and Nova would relieve me from this*

Loki glides his palm through the breeze, his heart is wary, but his yearning for power exceeds all. After all countless masters from his family had searched endlessly for an opportunity like this.

It is said that nature is the mother of all. This would make mortals its children, for it protects and scolds them based on their actions.

They name the protection of nature a blessing, and when they are scolded they name it Karma. All these are just the laws of creation.

These minute details none would think of, but only children are truly open to these opportunities. In every passage of the strand of time, we are reminded of our fragility.

Mortals are fragile like children. Yet they act sumptuously with no sense of the future. They forget they were once children a few years ago, and simply grew larger outer bodies.

There is nothing like maturity. It is just a word used in the manipulation of their kind to satisfy their selfish desires.

To regain Nova, one must recede into his origin. The origin of all things was merely an unrestrained trust for nature.

Nevertheless, humans follow their selfish desires, manipulating each other like hungry rats locked in a box. They knew their kind for satisfaction and stood with pride thinking it was all in the past.

Only a child can trust wholly. Only a child can trust nature as its own. So we must betray our selfish desires and trust nature. Only then shall we grasp Nova.

Loki had understood, after meditating till evening. His restless mind had become steady, and his mindset reverted to the origin.

Nature noticed a spark within her embers, and once again guided her child. Thus he attained Nova, the pinnacle of power. He glided his palm seamlessly through the breeze and grabbed it firmly.

The wind listened, rolling around his fists like a revolving snake, and gushed out in a demonstration of power.

Humans had once again been taught about Nova. They had reverted to their origin and trusted nature.

The wind blew in rage, scattering the sands of the land. His Nova raged on within, releasing a stream of aura that proceeded through his nostrils and skin.

So he descended softly, for that was the same method the gods of Egypt rose to their stand. The gods looked below and saw their kind reborn from mortals, yet they didn't rejoice.

For it was as sour as a lime to them. They covered the most to their selfish desires and had forgotten nature. Anyone can wield Nova, but humans ignore it even though they feel it at every step.

Loki stood in pride as his eyes let out a grey aura. The winds raged once again, tearing the nearby trees off their bases. He let out a psycophatic laugh, that echoed through the resort and sounded like loud rings to nearby humans.

" Let the games begin!"

Nova is something that you can still control. it is real, I tried it once but I haven't focused on it. This is your assignment. Stand within a breeze of wind and gently assess it with your body. Nova will be there.
