Deadbay city was at the southernmost tip of the western continent. A small town facing the sea, separated by a vast field that took several days to reach the capital.

The road connecting the capital and Deadbay city was considered safe from monster attacks. It was only occasionally that a few bandits attacked the carriage carrying the goods of wealthy merchants.

Elincia stood on top of the city guardrail that was seven meters high, surrounding the Deadbay City. She looked into the distance, where there was a vast field, stretching between mountains and plateaus.

An elven woman gave arm-length binoculars to Elincia. The General immediately grabbed it and looked for what was in the distance.

Looking through the binocular lens, Elincia saw a black line getting bigger and bigger. On closer inspection, it could be seen that it was a line of hundreds of monsters rushing towards the city.
