"TERRIAN SWITCH- GRASSY LANDS!"

The whole room started to disappear, turning pitch black. For a moment, no one could sense their surroundings. However, the effect didn't last long. The room turned into a grassy battlefield. The headmasters were standing on the left side, and the two contestants were facing each other on the north and south sides. The battleground was covered by an invisible barrier that couldn't be broken by normal means.

This was the technique used by the fifth headmaster, space manipulation. In the hands of an expert, this ability was broken. He could even trap a fifth-dimensional being inside it, cancelling their reality-bending abilities for a few minutes.

However, it wouldn't work for too long as trapping a fifth-dimensional being would consume way more energy than a third or fourth-dimensional being. It was also unable to stop Future Ray since he could open a breach to teleport out of the realm.

1. The headmaster will get three chances to hit Mr Holborn.

2. Mr Holborn has to dodge every single attack.

3. If the headmaster hits Mr.Holborn, he will win.

4. The candidate can use any means necessary to dodge the attack.

"Since this was not supposed to happen, Mr.Holborn can change one rule if he wants to," said the fifth headmaster.

"I want to change the first rule if you allow me to. How about this? Instead of three hits, the third headmaster will have a timer of two minutes. If he can hit me within the limited time, he will win," Future Ray suggested.

"Fine by me. Even with a timer, you won't hold out for long," the third headmaster said mockingly.

'Still as arrogant as ever, but you have got the skills to back it up, don't you, Steve?' thought Future Ray.

"Start!"

In an instant, Steve appeared in front of him, holding a blade covered with a green aura. He stabbed the blade inside Ray's stomach, thinking he had won.

"You almost caught me off-guard."

A voice came from behind his back as the image in front of him slowly disappeared.

"An afterimage?" Steve asked.

"A speed mirage, if you will," Ray replied.

"Impressive." Steve smiled.

His blade instantly transformed into duelling pistols as he rapidly fired them around Ray, making sure that he couldn't escape. The bullets were all covered by a green aura. Those were way more dangerous and deadly than energy bullets. Their speed was similar to that of an S-Rank speedster.

BANG BANG

At this moment, everyone thought he would lose, but the outcome surprised them as he caught all the bullets without moving a single step. He slowly dropped all the bullets one by one, mocking his opponent as he said, "You haven't lost your touch, have you, Steve?"

"Im-Immposible! How did he catch that?!" the second headmaster couldn't believe her eyes. She turned to her side, only to see that the others had the same reaction on their faces.

"Have we met before?" Steve asked.

"We have... However, knowing you... You probably forgot about me." Ray replied.

Steve scratched his head with the pistol, trying to remember something, but it wasn't long before he gave up. 

"You have quite an interesting weapon." Ray complimented.

"Your speed is more interesting than my weapon," Steve complimented, unfazed by his speed.

They both looked each other dead in the eye while smiling before shooting off in opposite directions, trying to find an opening.

At this point, none of them thought of the outcome of the battle anymore and got completely engrossed in the battle itself.

Ray gathered a bolt of lightning in his hand, firing it towards Steve's legs, hoping to paralyze him for a few seconds, but the latter deflected it easily with a swipe of his blades covered in aura.

'A normal attack like that won't work on him... I don't want to reveal my second ability in front of so many people, either. Should I use Still Force? Slowing him down would reveal an opening, but it would consume lots of energy. I don't want to get hungry in the middle of a battle. My Speed Force aura wouldn't even be able to deflect his attacks. I don't have the advantage of speed either since revealing too much will be problematic. It would also alert mother. If she finds out that I am alive, she will come to this timeline herself to bring me back. I can't let that happen... What if I speed him up? With that much velocity that he has accumulated, he would probably be unable to control his speed due to the sudden increase in the velocity.' thought Ray.

All of a sudden, Steve felt his entire body speeding up. An insane amount of speed that he had never hoped to reach, but his body wasn't used to this speed, making him collapse on the ground on his butt at Mach 19. It was funny.

However, that only knocked out Steve for a few minutes. He truly deserves the title of a monster... The amount of physical durability he has is honestly scary. He could even nullify one infinite mass punch if he tried his best.

"Wh-What just happened?" the second headmaster asked.

"Due to the third headmaster being knocked unconscious, the winner is Mr. Holborn," the fifth headmaster declared.

"Do I have to go through any more tests?" asked Ray.

"No, you have already proved yourself. Even if you lack academic knowledge, we would still recruit you." answered the first headmaster.

"Thank you."

SWOOSH

All of a sudden, Steve appeared behind Ray. Ray turned around, looking at him, and asked, "What do you want?"

"Your name was Holfrog, right?" he asked.

"It's Holborn... Never mind, call me by my nickname, Ray," Ray replied, moving his hand towards him for a handshake.

"I will remember you." Steve gently shook his hand without using any of his strength.
