The Future Depends on YOU(1)

After my doppelganger from the future had revealed to me that he destroyed his world from his timeline, I was puzzled, confused, and angry and started to question my actions. Why did he destroy the world? Was it because he tried to travel back in time, causing the Earth's core to stop rotating and causing the volcanoes all over the world to erupt, melting all the glaciers and starting Armageddon? Or did he destroy it on purpose?

"I can't even track his location! He knew that I put a tracker on him!" I screamed, punching the keyboard at superspeed, destroying it.

"Calm down, Allen," said Ryuk.

"Calm down? How do you expect me to calm down in a situation like this?! He said he destroyed the world, meaning he can do it again... Or maybe I will do it?" I said. "Should I just kill myself?"

"Allen!" Ryuk shouted, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Calm down, you know that cause and effect work in their mysterious ways, right? Killing yourself won't change anything. He might die now but he is from the future, he is a Paradox that you can't kill. However, if you can completely change the future by manipulating the timeline, you will be able to erase his existence and alternate his reality. Now the decision depends on yourself. Will you change or... Will you choose to go down the path that will lead you to your destruction?"

"You know Ryuk... You are the reason that my new family is a victim of this unknown tragedy... but I don't hate you... because... you are also the reason that I met them... In my past life, I was an orphan who had lost everything dear to me... I lost my job because my novel was too generic, I lost my friends because I didn't have any more value... I lost my family... Well adoptive family in an accident... and when I decided to end my life... I met you... You gave me another chance to live, with the condition that I become the villain... At that moment... I stood up from my chair and said, "Wally, stop searching for my doppelganger and focus on my suit."

Ryuk was sitting on his throne, watching over me through an unknown method.

"It's quite a pleasure to have you as my guest, Miss." Ryuk took a sip from the teacup in his hands.

All of a sudden, a 7-foot tall portal opened up in front of him, and out of it came a woman with white hair and blue eyes. She was The Speed Force or the manifestation of The Speed Force.

"Are you here to thank me for saving your son? I believe we have met before, am I right?" Ryuk smiled.

"I am here to kill you for ruining the timeline," she replied, appearing right in front of him in an instant and phasing her hand towards his neck.

"Ooh fiesty! Is this how you treat a person who saved your child?" Ryuk asked while smiling confidently.

"You saved the child who will bring chaos to the whole multiverse. I don't see the reason to be thankful for that." The Speed Force replied.

"... I see, so the things that you told Ray... Was it all an act?" Ryuk's voice turned serious.

"..."

"Even though you don't want to admit it, you can feel that Ray is way similar to Barry than you expected him to be... Didn't you ever feel any sort of connection to him before?" Ryuk asked.

"... What do you mean?" She asked, genuinely confused.

"Although you are one of the smartest beings in this universe... You are too stupid to figure out who your son is." Ryuk laughed at her.

"You... You mean that... He is... No... You must be lying... I watched his soul get reincarnated in a different universe... He is gone-..." At that moment, a thought struck her, she moved away from Ryuk and sat on the floor.

Ryuk walked up to her and patted her head. "We fourth-dimensional beings are not allowed to feel any attachments to lower realm entities. That was the sole reason the higher dimensional beings manipulated Barry's death. So that you will be back to your old self."

"Just because of a selfish rule like that?! They killed my son! The only person that I held dear! They killed him for such a selfish reason?!" The Speed Force screamed.

"You can't reason with the higher entities. There is nothing you can do about it. Unless you want to go on a rampage and leave your son again." Ryuk tried to reason with her.

"How did you find him?" She asked.

"To be honest... Barry was the only hero that I respected. Indeed, he wasn't the perfect hero... Nor was he the only hero who caught my interest. It was his will to destroy the entire world to risk saving it. It was his selfless acts for his family. When he died... I switched his soul with Iris and reincarnated him in the original reality. Don't ask me why I switched his soul with Iris... I hate her too much." Ryuk explained.

"Thank you." The Speed Force stood up and opened a portal.

"I will spare your life for what you did." She walked into the portal as it closed behind her.

As soon as she left Ryuk fell on the ground, wiping the sweat off his forehead.

"Phew... I dodged a heavy bullet there. I couldn't even react to her speed. Had I not saved Barry's soul, I might have died today." Ryuk exclaimed.
