Entrance exam (8)

After we split up to get more points for the passing grade, John and Tommy went to gather as many points as possible by destroying orc hideouts. I ended up calling him Tommy because he keeps calling me Allen. Since he won't call me by my first name, then I won't either. Don't call me childish alright, I get angry sometimes.

"That's such a childish act, I guess your only weakness is your child like emotions." Ryuk remarked.

Can't deny that, having a child's body has definitely affected my emotions and behaviours, I wonder if it is an effect of switching two souls.

"By the way... Why is everyone so scared of other worlders?" Ryuk asked.

'I was about to explain it, when a soul travels from their original world to a different world though space, the negative forces drain their energy and replace it with their own.' I explained.

"How does that make them dangerous?" Ryuk questioned.

'When you kill a person with too much negative energy, a spiritual disruption is formed, taking the shape of a curse, the area where they die gets corrupted, causing the death of thousands per year.' I continued. 'Now... What do you think will happen when an otherworlder dies?'

"... It would cause an Armageddon." Ryuk exclaimed. "Then the only ones who can deal with them would be Sorcerers... Spiritual energy is the most potent energy to use against negative energies."

'Yep, however Samuel will wipe them out at the end of the fourth volume, so we need to make a plan to save them, all we have is three more years.'

Why would he wipe them out, you ask? Well you will soon find out.

"Are we lost?" I asked.

"Probably... Should have made a map." Sylvia answered.

We were walking in the same direction for four hours but because of the dense forest, we lost our path. Since we had to deal with couple of mutants on the way. I killed most of them without the suit, since I need time to recharge it, I tried not to waste any energy.

Boom Clank

As we were walking, sound of explosions and metal clanking came to our ears.

I never expected to meet other candidates like this. After seperating from the rest of the cadets from the drop site, we have never encountered them anymore.

As we walked slowly towards the battlefield, the sight we saw made us freeze. Ten corpses of fifteen year old kids layed on the ground scattered across the open field, there was blood all over the floor, the way the corpses were damaged made us realise that some seemed to have done it to make a mockery out of them. Above them was a girl with black hair and black eyes, wearing a high level armour worn by martial artists, holding a cold steel sword in her hands, in front of her was an injured kid wearing a the same outfit, I could not see their face, because they were covered by blood.

"Wh-Why? Those were your siblings, how could you kill them so cruelly?" The kid asked as blood driped down from his mouth.

By his voice I could tell he was male. Was it Roger? All these people were martial artists. There is only a single martial arts family who could be this cruel. One of the Five Major Families, Silverheart family.

Sylvia tried to fly towards her but I held her right hand and stopped her.

"Take her away from here before engaging in a duel, don't kill her, I will help that kid." I said before letting her go, she immediately flew off taking the girl away from there.

'Fuck! All the bones in my hand are damaged!' I screamed in my head. I had to constantly vibrate my hand to keep her in a place. Although it will heal in a second or two, it still hurts a lot when I enter Flashtime, during the recovery process.

"Honestly that was a bold move, right there. I never thought that you would hold down a Kryptonian like that. You sure have a lot of guts kid." Ryuk remarked.

'Takes a lot more than just guts to hold down a Kryptonian.' I replied back, walking towards the injured kid after turning on my suit. You can never be too cautious in situations like this.

I touched his shoulder to scan his vitals but his head fell on the ground with just a slight touch of my fingers.

His head was so cleanly cut off that no one will even know about it until it falls. I took a good look at his face to make sure he wasn't Roger, to my relief he wasn't.

"I guess you didn't fuck up the timeline." Ryuk said. "Who the hell was she?"

"I guess we are about to find out." I said, running off toward the direction they flew off.
