Chapter 11: The Road Ahead

Six days have passed since Obaka's departure from the Austrian Kingdom, however, he is still having trouble finding the other kingdoms on his journey.

It's been six days since I've escaped, yet I haven't found a clue. There must be another kingdom far beyond my homeland's border since the Austrian Kingdom is near it. I must travel further into the unknown, for it is the only way.

When Obaka fled Austria, he went back to his village first to stock up on supplies. Before Obaka went out on his quest again, he went into his hut and opened an old rusty chest that contained a map.

"I haven't read this map since I was a child. This area and most of the lands that are nearby, I am familiar with. Despite my familiarity, this map could give me some clues into where the other kingdoms could be. Perhaps, there's something I've always looked over as a child and it never crossed my mind". Obaka said, as he closed the chest and left his hut.

Obaka got on his horse and took one last at his village and started to analyze the map.

"Ok if the land of Austria is North and my land is East to the land of Austria, that can only mean something must lie in the West and South. To my knowledge , there aren't any signs of humans in the West and South, so I guess these will be the places I shall explore". Obaka said to himself as he left his village.

While Obaka was leaving the village, he didn't notice that there were thirty Austrian spies that were stationed there and had spotted him.

"You and half of the men go after him and I and the rest shall head back to the kingdom to notify the King". One of the spies said after sheathing their sword and making preparation to head back to Austria.

Fifteen men went after Obaka and the other fifteen went back to Austria to notify the King about his escape.
