MYSTERIOUS MOTIVES

Draped in an ankle-length floral gown that cascaded gracefully from the waist, I joined Mum and Isabel for church. We settled into our seats alongside Lily and Mr. Cowell and my attention was drawn irresistibly to Rex. My eyes wandered in search of him. I saw him seating at the across the aisle, looking cute in his dark blue attire—a silky shirt and trousers, complimented by white Air Jordans. What a stylish king!

Amidst the congregation, my attention drifted on Ms. Sophie and Mr Dwight, seated in front of him. I must confess this is the first time I'm noticing them with him. There sitting arrangements was odd. Why isn't Rex sitting beside them or why aren't they sitting beside him? Before I could ponder further, Rex's eyes found mine, and a smile played across his lips.

"You look stunning," he mouthed, causing a flush to spread across my cheeks as I shyly averted my gaze.

With that, the service commenced.
