"Well, well, I see you're quite happy with yourself for answering a few questions," he said as he grabbed my English textbook, slipping through the pages. "Am here to wipe off that triumphant look you had earlier." Saying those words, he then tore my text book into two equal halves. I gasped. What has he done? He threw the textbook at me. "Now, that's the kind of expression I like to see." ____________________ Instagram @m1llie_official Facebook @Author Mildred

GHOST OF AURORAL HIGH

Mr rude forcefully continued pulling me along the school hallway until we arrived right in front of our classroom before letting me go. I rubbed my fingers around my wrist, trying to reduce the pain I felt. His hold had been too tight.

"That's strange," Lily mumbled beside me, staring straight ahead.

I looked to see everyone standing right outside the classroom with the classroom door slightly opened which was very unusual.

"Go in," Mr rude said, motioning towards the door.

"I won't. No one is going in so why should I?" I instantly refused.

I wasn't a fool. Everyone was standing right outside the door with lack of interest of walking inside even if the teacher could come by at any moment. Something was definitely up.

"When I say go in, you do just that. Understood?" Mr rude said angrily.

"You are not the boss of me," I said in a shrill voice than intended. "This must be another one of your prank and I won't just do it. I won't take orders from you." I refused turning to leave.

He held unto me. "Where do you think you are going? Classes will start soon and you are about leaving?"

"I know that but that doesn't mean I will go inside." My eyes flashed passed each and everyone of them and rested on Courtney. "Why don't you let Courtney go in first? I bet she would gladly do it if you ask her."

Courtney gritted her teeth. "Hey! Don't bring me into this," she said, glaring at me.

I smirked. "We are all going to stand here then until the teacher arrives."

The students started mumbling in protest. Some glaring at me intensely. I scoffed, folded my hands across my chest before rolling my eyes at them. Who do you all take as a fool?

Mr rude shifted uncomfortably from one foot to another before he barked, "you are just too stubborn. Push her in."

Before I could disagree, I was already pushed into the classroom. I stumbled due to the force and fell down. That's strange! Apart from falling, nothing weird happened. Why were they so reluctant to enter the classroom?

At that moment, something dropped on my nose. I touched it and noticed it was white and had a powdery feeling. What the hell was it? I looked up to see a small sized flour bag, probably about 500g, hung upsidedown on the door post. Its opening held by an adhesive tape, threatening to come loose at any moment. I needed to get out of there!

I hurriedly sprang up to my feet but it was already too late as the flour came pouring down on me at that moment, tainting me in ghostly white. Everyone's burst our laughing, their laughter commingling together.

"The teacher is coming," someone amongst the student announced.

They all rushed into the classroom. Jude and Alex schemingly poured some of the floor on the teacher's table before running off to their seats. Lily helped me up and tried dusting out the floor from my uniform but it only made it worse.

"Don't worry Lily. You should get sitted and I will quickly go to the bathroom to clean myself up," I suggested.

I turned to leave but Mr Andrew was already standing at the door. A slight frown settled on his face as he looked at me from head to toe.

"What is all this, Miss Raymond? Why are you covered in flour and also my desk?" He asked angrily as his eyes scanned around the classroom.

I was about answering but Mr Rude spoke up first, "Mr Andrew, she planned to play a prank on you by hanging the flour on the doorframe. We tried talking her out of it but she wouldn't listen. Thankfully, the plan backfired."

"That is not true," I said defensively.

Mr Andrew's face darkened. "Then what is the truth, Miss Raymond?"

I hurriedly spoke, "They did this. He planned all this just to get me in trouble."

"Are you trying to twist the truth because you were caught? You are becoming much of a nuisance in this class but I won't allow your little tricks distrupt my class. You will work with Mrs Polly in the cafeteria during lunch and I don't want to find you missing." He gave out my punishment.

"But Mr..."

"Not another word from you. Since you decided to be a ghost, you will sit throughout the class looking like this. Make sure you clean this place spotless after the class. Do I make myself clear?" He asked angrily.

"Yes sir," I bitterly agreed.

The class began after Mr Andrew had thoroughly scolded me. Whilst learning, the students kept snickering incoherently and I sat there filled with resentment.

Once the class ended, I began cleaning. Lily tried helping out but Mr Rude wouldn't allow it. I grudgingly swept and mopped the whole classroom through the taunts of the students. They called me names like; Casper, Miss white, Coco, Snow white, ghosty Syd, but only one stuck–Ghost of Auroral High.

I was done cleaning but still covered in floor when Mrs Stanley came into the classroom for the next class. She looked at me in puzzlement for a while before kindly allowing me to use the restroom.

The rest of the morning torturously passed by and I found myself serving in the cafeteria. Each and every one of the students kept mocking and jeering at me as I served their food.

"Ghost of Auroral High how are you able to hold a spatula?"

"Can the Ghost of Auroral High make herself invisible?"

"Why don't you try passing your hand through me?"

What the heck? I thought this only happened in my class. How did every student in school find out about it?

A pervert said, "Ghost of Auroral High can you go topless? We won't see anyways since you are literally invincible."

Anger bubbled through me, steaming out of my nostrils and ears. I wanted to smack him in the head but I had a better idea.

"Everyone he cut the line just now," I announced.

The students turned angrily at him and wanted to eat him up.

One of them said, "Phineas, do you take us for fools since we are orderly following the queue. How could you just cheat your way through?"

"That is not true. I have been standing here all this while," Phineas grumbled.

But of course, a crowd of hungry student wouldn't listen to him. The students pushed and pulled Phineas until he was standing at the end of the line. I watched to my satisfaction as Phineas eyes turned red and he almost shedded big balls of tears.
