Auror's Work

In New York on top of a building was a man sleeping unbothered by the sound of traffic. He was using his hat to block off the light of the sun, it was noon.

the roof opened up and a woman walked out, She was wearing a grey coat, on her chest hang a badge with the letter M printed on in big letters, under it was written. 'Macusa Auror, Cho Chang. "Davy, sleeping again?, you are supposed to be stake out".

The man who was sleeping woke up hearing his name, he looked at Cho and just yawned. "Oh hey partner, did you bring my breakfast". He looked at her hands and saw a bag and a cup of coffee. "What is the need for a stake out if you are just going to sleep". She sighed as she gave him his food.

"Relax, the camera is still recording, and besides if something were to happen if have Evie to wake me up". He pointed up to one of the water tanks and there was an owl staring at an apartment at the other side of the building, The owl rotated its head and give a slight head nod to Cho before returning to its objective. "When did you bring Evie with you?".

Davy stopped eating and looked back at her. "It's too early for you to be irritating Cho". "Its 1 afternoon". "So?, I just woke up and the day starts when i wake up". Davy felt proud of his words and Cho was about to continue her antics but Evie, the owl hooted signaling them that something is happening at the other side.

They immediately stopped what they were doing and turned to the apartments and sure enough something was happening, 4 men entered the apartment, Two were carrying something, One was carrying a sack and the other a chest.

They talked for a bit before they exchanged."Hm, your contact was right after all". Said Cho. "Well of course he was, it is my contact you are talking about here". Said Davy proudly. "And what's that supposed to mean". "It means what i just said, what else was it gonna mean?".

Before they could quarrel again, Evie hooted again signaling them to the apartment. At the apartment, the two men holding the stuff came to the middle, The one carrying the chest opened it and inside of it were two orbs. Davy brought out binoculars from his pocket and looked through it. He saw that the two orbs were actually two eggs, of what animal he couldn't determine but what he could determine was that they were magical eggs.

The man closed the chest and moved back, The other man stepped up and opened the bag he was holding, a baby black lion stuck out its face and before it could do anything everyone brought their wand and pointed it at, one of the man shouted at the man holding the bag.

The man immediately returned the creature into the bag. "It's a baby Nundu". Davy returned the binoculars into his pockets. "You take the new owners of the chest and i take the ones with the baby Nundu". Davy suggested. "Fine by me". They both apparated from the building and apparated to the front and balcony of the apartments. Their apparition was perfect, soundless.

They took out their wands in sync, almost as if they were one spirit two bodies.

Davy stormed in and fired 2 stunning spells in consecutive while Cho did the same. The stood no chance at all.

They fired one big chaining spell which chained them all together from hands to ankle.

Davy revived one of them for questioning. "Wha-WHAT"S GOING ON! YOU KNOW WHO I AM!". He slapped the man with his hand before he could continues shouting.

"Shout one more time, i dare you". He looked menacingly at the man. "Or what, slap me again? Ha i ain't saying shit and you an Auror so do your job and take me in".

The man felt empowered by his own words and looked smug. "Cho, would you mind writing the casualties down, out of the four, one died due to the baby Nundu's toxic breath, it was a torturous death, he was melting from the inside-out, You got all that?". Yep , all written and now just to be confirmed by your signature". Cho walked up to him with a piece of paper and a pen floating in the air. The man immediately lost all courage and began begging. "ALRIGHT ALRIGHT, IM SORRY IM SORRY, I'LL TELL YOU EVERYTHING, PLEA". Davy slapped him again and said. "Didn't i just tell not to shout?".

You could hear the audible gulp of the man. "Good, now im going to ask you some questions and if you give me some satisfying answers i won't have to beat you but if you do then well you know".

The man nodded his head shaking with fear. "I just slapped you? why are you shaking like that? you know it doesn't matter". He held his wand to his mouth to shut him and continued. "A Nundu is extremely hard to find and a baby Nundu is quite impossible, so where did you find the baby nundu?". The man shook his head and said. "I don't know, we didn't-". Davy slapped him before he could finish his sentence. "I don't like your answer, try again". The man once again shook his head.
