Chapter 1

"Wake up you sleeping head! We can't be late on our first day of school! Wake up wake up WAKE UP!!!!"

My little brother, Fawzan, shouted jumping on my bed. I tried to block my ears from his shouting by ducking my head below my pillow, but as you see, if Fawzan is energetic as hell there is no escape. He snatched my comforter and my pillow and again started yelling about being late.

"Ugh! I'm awake! Stop screaming! My eardrums are really needed!" I shouted at him as I sat and rubbed my eyes.

"Come fast sis! Farris and Noha are ready, breakfast is ready, but you are not ready so now I'll be late and then....." he kept babbling to himself till his voice faded.

God, I can't belive summer ended this fast and school...wait!...oh shoott!!.....I'm a high school student! That means today will be a very shitty day for me.... God please help me out.....

I stood up from my bed, even though it's calling me to sleep, I'm sorry bed, I love you but it's a school day. I got in the bathroom, did my business and my hygiene. After I got out of the bathroom, I went to my closet and stood there, what in the world should I wear!? After a good 5 minutes of roaming through my closet I chose to wear a dark blue skinny jeans, a light blue long button up shirt, a white and blue stripped hijab and white Nike shoes(Don't judge me, I have a bad taste in clothing). I grabbed my phone and my bag then headed downstairs.

"Finally, I thought you were dead or something." my very annoying twin, Farris, said that to me. I ignored what he said and before I join the table,

"Newal!!" Our little sister, Noha ran towards me and jumped on me.

"Good morning to you too Noha!"I said to her as I hugged her, to be honest, you'll never find a sweetheart like Noha, like..NEVER!

I sat her on her seat and then I sat."Good morning honey, did you sleep well?", our mom asked me,

"Yeah mom, I did very well but I'm not well for school."

"Thank God! I thought I was the only one feeling that way!" Farris said that and mom frowned on both of us. She sighed and said,

"I know kids, people see us as something negative, but try to to ignore them and live your life, so then one day people will realize how good-thinkers we are."

"But mom! At least Farris and Fawzan doesn't wear hijab and they can't be recognised, but me and later Noha, are always seen as if we are not humans!" I argued then dad said

"Who said that boys can't be recognised? What about when we pray or when we say our salams to other Muslims? Newal, don't be afraid or embarrassed by your hijab or religion. What people say doesn't matter, what matters is how we can change it."

"Dad, this is the most bravest saying I've ever heard!" Fawzan said then turned to me "Sis, even though we're  sometimes annoying, Farris and I will always be by your side "

"Me too!" Noha said that. Even though she is 4 years old, I told you so, she is such a sweetheart!

"Kids! Look at the time it's getting late! Let's go" Dad said and went upstairs to bring his briefcase. After he went to the car, Farris, Fawzan and I kissed mom goodbye and went to the car.

After we dropped Noha to the nursery, we headed to the place where all of us will see the evil side of people, school. Fawzan is in the 8th grade, and Farris and I are 10th grade. So long summer, welcome school which is also known as hell.
