The following day, under the clear sky, Atticus stood right in the middle of the training grounds, filled with anticipation as he took in the crisp morning air.
The Ravenstein training grounds stretched across a vast expanse of land, nestled at the heart of the family estate. The grounds were perfectly designed to be used for all kinds of training exercises.
Warriors mostly trained in the large open space right at the center of the grounds. They spent hours sparring, exchanging strikes and skillful techniques while their experienced mentors watched.
Multiple training dummies were lined up nearby. Each constructed with sturdy materials that could withstand powerful blows. Warriors would practice their strikes, honing their precision and strength. The dummies bore the dents and slashes of countless strikes, serving as a testament to the dedication and skill of those who had trained there.
The advanced training facilities are reserved for only a select few, so guards and other warriors of the Ravenstein family use this grounds to train and hone their skills.
After a while, Sirius walked onto the grounds, approaching Atticus.
"Listen up, kid" Sirius began with authority in his voice. "We're going to start with a few ground rules. One: My word is law. Two: You'll be here before 6 AM every day and await my arrival. Three: Keep off the advanced training facilities until I say so. Am I clear?"
Sirius spoke sharply without pausing. Atticus paid attention closely.
"Understood". Atticus answered immediately.
"Good. We're starting with a few light drills. And since you're awakened, you're not allowed to use mana. Let's get moving!"
The hours that followed were a grueling test of Atticus' stamina and endurance. He was pushed to the limits, jogging, sprinting, and performing drills that seemed to never end.
Even though his awakened abilities provided passive enhancements to his physical endurance, the training was stillbrutal. At a point, he collapsed to the ground, his chest heaving as he gasped for breath.
Sirius only allowed him a brief window of recovery before Atticus was once again thrust into the demanding regimen. Push-ups, squats, and tons of other exercises that pushed his body to its breaking point followed. The sun climbed higher in the sky, casting long shadows across the training grounds.
The next day, Sirius crafted a rigorous daily training plan for Atticus, designed to mold him into a formidable warrior. The training encompassed a holistic approach, focusing on both physical prowess and mental fortitude.
Physical Conditioning: Atticus engaged in intense physical exercises to enhance his strength, speed, and endurance. These sessions included weightlifting, sprinting, agility drills, and cardiovascular workouts.
Mana Control: A crucial component of Atticus's training was mastering mana manipulation. Sirius guided him through intricate exercises to harness mana for both offensive and defensive purposes. Atticus learned to channel his energy efficiently.
Meditation and Focus: The training day concluded with meditation and mental exercises. Atticus delved into mindfulness techniques, honing his ability to maintain focus even in the heat of battle. These practices cultivated mental resilience and clarity, vital attributes for a warrior.
Sirius's training regime demanded unwavering dedication and discipline. Each day, Atticus was pushed to his limits, compelled to surpass his previous achievements.
This continued everyday for months. After 4 months of rigorous training passed, Atticus found himself standing in front of Sirius once more, his body covered in sweat but his expression calm. The hellish days of training had transformed him, honing his physique and mental fortitude.
He had adapted remarkably in only a few months as his awakened potential allowed him to endure the grueling routine. His determination however, played the biggest role in his transformation.
As he stood there, he reflected, 'Thank the heavens I awakened. Without it, enduring this hellish training might have been impossible.' Even without actively using mana, an awakened was inherently more powerful than an average person. Which meant Atticus could adapt better.
Sirius' approving nod acknowledged Atticus' progress. "Good job, kid. You've done remarkably well. You've hit your stride so there's no point slowing down now. It's time for the next phase. Today, I'm going to introduce you to our magic system."
Atticus was finally going to learn about the Eldoralth's magic system!========================
