All of the soldiers of The survey corps are sleeping by this time, the only people who are still up are the patrollers and Erwin and co,

At the office of Erwin Smith, Commander of the survey corps, Levi, Hange and Mike Zacharius, they are looking at each other with serious expression, Mike has volunteered to do the experiment of the potion, although Ace had explained what it can do, but they still haven't seen it in action and to do that they needed someone to get messed up

" As we have agreed, if things go south, the Survey Corps will take care of all of your needs," said Erwin, he gave the Red potion to Mike

" Everything for Humanity's survival, " Said Mike, he took the potion and drank the whole thing, not a single drop was left. Now comes the hard part, Mike took a small towel and bite into it

" Then...Levi, if you will" Erwin commanded Levi and handed him one of their blades. Hange went behind Mike and locked his body. Mike started to sweat heavily but still, he was determined and extended his hand

With a fast slash of his bald, Levi cut off Mike hand with ease which caused Mike to scream as loud as he can, if it wasn't for the towel and Hange locking his body, he would be rolling on the floor and screaming on top of his lungs

Blooding started to gush out of his cut off hands while Erwin and Levi looked at it with anticipation and nervousness, something these men wouldn't show in front of any Titan but this was different, their entire future is depending on this moment

A few moments later, Mike missing hands stopped bleeding and his blood started to come back to his arm and forming a hand causing Hange to grow excited as she let go of Mike and reached for his hand but only to be stopped by Levi

" Back off! let it finish healing " They can't afford any unnecessary action that will result in unwanted troubles

Soon Mike's hand came back like it was never cut, the only proof for that is the cut off hand on the floor

Erwin Smith, Commander of the Survey Corps, for the first time in his life, a smile formed on his face, a smile that wasn't fake, it was a smile that came from his own soul, a believing smile

' This is it! for sure! Humanity's key is him! '

" LET ME GO!!" Hange shot at Mike and started touching his hand and even smiled his hand, apparently to see if it's real or not, she still can' believe her eyes

"How do you feel? are you alright? how was it??" she started throwing questions at Mike who was shocked too and couldn't keep up with Hange's questions, but he was saved again by Levi and Erwin

" Thank you for going with our demand Mike," said Erwin as he bowed to Mike " How do you feel?"

" I...I feel strange, all the pain is gone and my hand is...still the same...I feel no change " he said as he moved his hand around

" Erwin...You know what this means right?" said Levi as he cleaned the floor off from the remaining blood

"Yes. Everything he said is right " Erwin remembered all of what Ace said to them, how his blood power works and how powerful his Titan is...But unfortunately, he can't do more than this at the moment due to his two years outside the wall

"If this is what he can do at his weakest, I wonder what he can do at his top?" Hange was still investigating Mike's hand but he still engaged in their conversation while although Mike doesn't know the full details but he still think that this guy is a formidable man to be able to do this kind of stuff, especially since he experienced it at first hand

Erwin turned to Levi and looked at him for a moment " Levi, Hange...I have a mission for you two" he said

"What is it?" asked Hange as she separated herself from Mike's hand, she and Levi were never Erwin's pick when it comes to partners in a mission so she was interested at that, she knows it must be important.

It was finally time, The military training had begun, Ace, Mikasa, Krista, and Armin and also Eren had joined as planned.

At the moment, all of the new recruits had gathered in the large training field and forming lines behind each other, Keith Sadies, Commandant of the Cadet Corps had requested for them outside and they have nothing but to oblige... if they want to live that is.

" STATE YOUR NAME YOU SHITHEAD!!" screamed Keith, he was facing a young poor who got terrified of his voice, the poor boy will fall to the ground at any moment. The Commandant kept on going on with each line, screaming on anyone who seems weak-willed

Unlike the anime, Keith this time skipped Armin, and that because Armin was being trained by C.Laurance for the past months, and he had already experienced the harsh nature of the Military training. And to be precise, Armin, Eren, Mikasa, and of course Ace already have a head start in front of everyone here.

Unfortunately, Krista wasn't ready like the others as Keith still spoke to her

"YOUR STINKY NAME AND YOUR PURPOSE HERE THAT WILL BE NEVER ACHIEVED??" shouted Keith in Krista's face

" Krista braveheart, I am here to contribute to humanity's victory" shouted Krista but it wasn't enough as she wasn't used to shouting.

This scene that was normal for anyone here wasn't the same for a few individuals who picked up on Krista's words who thought they heard her wrong

"HUH?? WHAT DID YOU SAY?? I COULDN'T HEAR YOU BECAUSE OF YOUR MOUSE-LIKE VOICE, SAY IT LOUDER!" demanded Keith

Krista took a deep breath and shouted as hard as she can " KRISTA BRAVEHEART, I AM HERE TO CONTRIBUTE TO HUMANITY'S VICTORY"

No, they didn't hear her wrong...' Braveheart?!' one thought ran inside their heads

"SUCH AN ADMIRABLE WISH, BUT THE LIKES OF YOU ARE WHAT WE CALL TITAN'S FOOD" he then left her with these words

It kept on going on and on, Keith spoke with a few people who Ace was able to recognize, Jean Kirschtein, Conny Springer and Marco Bott and~, of course, the legendary potato scene. Ace couldn't contain his laughter and almost started laughing out loud at that

"H.h..half!!" he still wonders at how she can call a little piece of potato a half

Ace quickly stopped laughing and pulled himself together as Keith was near him. He was passed too, all he needed to do is just to pull a straight face with a calm aura which resulted in Keith not giving him a second look

" 7TH SQUAD? TURN YOUR ASSES AROUND"

Ace turned along with his line, it was soon to be finished, Honestly, the whole Military training is nothing to him. In the past months, Levi and his squad came to his house multiple time and he was informed of his rank [Vice Captain ] of the special operations squad. Of course, he was met with a disapproved looks especially from the second in command who didn't like the idea of an unknown kid giving him orders but he quickly shut them down with a few...Punches and kicks, well, those guys wouldn't follow someone who is weaker than them, so he needed to do that, he was even supported by Levi at that

Ace looked in front of him and saw the person who stands behind him. A girl, nothing special about her but... ' Silver hair!... I don't remember someone with silver hair in this world!' Thought Ace, he looked at the girl carefully trying to remember her but at the end, he was sure that he never saw her

' Maybe that butterfly effect... I mean, I went outside a lot, there is bound for some changes to happen ' Ace thought, There were some changes, especially in the ranks of nobles, a lot of nobles sent their second borns sons and daughters to the military training this year, he is not sure of why is that but he believed that she was one of the nobles' daughters

But the same thing can't be said to the other Silver haired girl who was looking at him with the same eyes and the same thoughts, but unlike him, she was more thoughtful at this matter

Soon, Commandant Keith finished his mental torture and got in front of the Recruits, he ordered them to turn around and look at him, he looked at one of the tents behind him and raised his hand giving a signal. The Tent opened and 6 people came out

The new recruits got confused while others were shocked at the presence of these people and Ace was one of them

' I wasn't told about this! ' he thought

" YOU LUCKY BASTARDS!! YOU GOT THE CHANCE OF YOUR LIFE!" Keith shouted at the recruits, he pointed at the 6 people who stood by his side " THESE ARE THE SURVEY CORPS TOP ELITE? YOU FUKERS GET TO LEARN FROM THE TOP LIKE NO OTHER ONE COULD"

To Keith's left stood an impressed Levi and his squad and on his right stood Hange Zoe who was waving at the new recruits

" YOU SHITHEADS BETTER NOT WASTE THIS OPPORTUNITY, THE SURVEY CORPS COMMANDER HAD DECIDED TO GIVE YOUR HOPELESS ASSES A HELPING HAND, FROM TODAY ONWARDS, YOU WILL BE TRAINED BY CAPTAIN LEVI AND HIS SQUAD FURTHERMORE, YOU WILL BE EDUCATED AND TAKING LESSEN FROM HANGE ZOE. UNDERSTOOD!" Keith looked at freezing recruits and got angry

"I SAID UNDERSTOOD YOU DIKLESS KUNTS!!!"

" YES SIR!!!" everyone shouted after being scared by Keith's angry voice, that guy is a demon!

" Then, captain Levi, Squad Leader Hange. Everything is yours now, I will only assist you when needed " Keith left the training ground and headed toward the tent to rest, All that shouting made his throat dry

Levi stepped to the front and got everyone's attention. He pointed at the running field and said with a voice that wasn't loud as Keith's but it was still loud enough to be heard

" 60 Laps around the field, the first 10 people who will finish gets to skip the evening's training. The last 10 who arrive, will get double the evening training....You start now " his words were simple but powerful. Immediately after he stopped talking, all the recruits started dashing like crazy, no one wants to get double the training at the evening

Ace ad some of the smart recruits know that the mission is a long mission and they need energy so they didn't dash like dogs as the others did but still they weren't far behind

After 20minutes, the people at the front started running out of gas and some dropped to the floor and some just struggled to continue while some like Eren, Armin, Krista, Reiner, Annie Etc were still at their top form and started to take the lead at the 20th lap

As for Ace, he took the lead at the 5th lap and was about to complete his 49th lap.

Mikasa was just behind Ace by 10 laps

Levi and co were leaning on the fences at the side of the finish line while watching the recruits suffer

" Even tho he said he is weak, but he still has strong physical abilities huh? " said Hange, Ace is now what occupied her mind, his power is driving her crazy, she wanted to study his power but that was forbidden by Erwin

" Yeah! he is quite strong for his age " said Eld Jinn, Levi's former second in command, he was really surprised at how Ace is strong at his young age

" Shut up! Former 2nd in command, nothing will erase you former humiliation at his hands " Oluo Bozado mocked Eld while picking his nose which made Petra look at him in disgust

" You got your azz handed to you too," said Petra

" I went easy on him, how can I got all out on a kid" Oluo argued but his red face busted him out. Levi's squad kept on arguing about their past defeat at Ace's hand while never admitting they lost

This kept on until Ace finished his 60th lap and came and laid under their shadow to take cover from the scorching hot sun

" Your arguing voices can be heard from the far end of the field, keep it quite will you, I don't want anyone discovering that I am in the squad for the time being " Ace looked at the arguing members with a frown, they quickly apologized with a bow

" Don't bow you morons " Ace quickly got frustrated at them but they did it again, they were doing it on purpose, Damn bastards.

" Enough of that, here take this! " Levi throw Ace a drinking military bottles

" Thank you for that " Ace quickly drank the water and washed his face from the sweat which wasn't that much

" So, do I get to skip the evening training or was it a trick? "

" Yes, you do, but for the time being...60 push-ups now " Of course Levi wouldn't let them skip the training without a little compensation for it. Ace could only do as he was told

" You never told me that you will be working in the Cadet Corps and when did you decide that??" asked Ace, his question was directed at both Levi and Hange

" After our little chat at the mountain of your family, Commander Erwin decided that night that we will be close to you and to make our relationship grow. he thinks that since you're an important member of us we should to get to know each other " said Hange, of course, that wasn't entirely true, their main purpose is to keep an eye for Ace and protect him. Foe Erwin, Ace is an irreplaceable member, he won't take any chance of Ace getting in danger, even inside the Cadet Corps, he won't let Ace alone and that's why he let his most trusted subordinates to stay by his side, and of course, that will be undercover. By Duke Bravehearts help, he was able to get his subordinates inside Cadet Corps as teachers under the illusion of trying to inspire more recruits into joining the Survey Corps, There were a few suspicions at first, especially from the Military police but it soon went away as they found nothing out of the ordinary. And the Survey corps's lack of soldiers helped their case a lot.

Ace didn't mind this move from Erwin as it will really help him, he wanted to be close with them and befriend them

' I should thank him when I see him next ' thought Ace

Their conversation was stopped when The next person arrived, it was Mikasa, she came near Ace who was doing pushups and was about to be done, Levi looked at her and saw that she wasn't that much tired, only short of breath like Ace previously, unlike Ace, he didn't give her anything, not that she will complain

" 60 push-ups," he said

Mikasa immediately went down and started her course, Ace just finished his 60th push-up and laid on his back

" Now you get to skip the evening's training," said Levi, causing Ace to chuckle a little before he sat beside Levi on the fence to watch the rest of the recruits do their thing, he searched for his friends and saw them doing well but what caught his attention is Krista, there was a green haired boy running beside her, he seems to be trying to start a conversation but Krista was focusing on running and saving her energy

He is either a shameless person who doesn't give up or an idiot to notice that Krista is not interested or paying him any attention

But soon he was cut by another brown headed girl who slapped the back of his head, it was Ymir who took the green haired boy place beside Krista, unlike the idiot from before, Ymir took her time into luring Krista into a conversation

' Some fates can't be changed ' thought Ace as he saw Ymir and Krista getting along pretty quick as he knows of

The first 10 positions arrived in order like this;

3-Annie Lionheart

4-Eren Jaeger

5-Anna ?? ( Silver haired girl)

After their arrival, they did push-ups like Ace and Mikasa and were allowed to skip the evening training

As for the others, they still have to attend the evening training but they didn't mind much as the majority already prepared themselves for it and only made sure not to be the last 10 who are still running with tears in their eyes, they regretted spending all of their energy at the beginning of the training.

And that was the beginning of the 3 years Military training
